This is a classic Irish pub vibe. My husband and I came in starving after being turned away at a few other after hour spots bc nobody was serving food. We came to barley republic off a recommendation by another staff member from a place we just came from. It was awesome!!!! We both ordered two meals. lol well today is st Patrick’s day so we ordered the corned beef and cabbage and I also ordered the lamb burger and my husband got the chicken sandwich. EVERYTHING WAS FANTASTIC. The chicken sandwich was HUGE, my lamb burger was so tasty and delicious and appealing to the eye also. Fantastic corned beef and cabbage with a flavor profile I haven’t had with that meal and it was so warm and comforting. They served this raisin bread with it was so amazing! We were so hungry we dove right in and didn’t take any pictures.

If you like a classic pub experience complete with a good list of draught beers, then this is the place to go. I went here with a few friends while on vacation and ended the night here on a few of the days totaling going here three to four times and since they were open late it was the perfect place to come at the end of the night, talk, and perk up before walking home! The menu items were delicious and the staff was helpful and friendly, if you are doing a bar crawl in St. Aug don't let this place fall off your list!

Incredible Lamb burger and Ruben sandwich. The bartender who was our server was wonderful and polite. She then became overwhelmed. As someone who has been in restaurants for 25 + years from server, bartender, sous chef, F&B manager and more. She was not ready to handle the volume. Our last drink order took 35 minutes as she only handled walk up orders and forgot about us. Rather than telling the new customers I'll be with you in one minute She continued to make one drink at a time for the service well line and made us wait. She was new at this and I understand the visible stress on her face. She was not ready to be alone. Again, she was pleasantly polite and kind. She was "in the weeds"

Luckily the waitress told us that the fries are cooked in beef tallow and are not vegetarian. Very disappointing.
