I never knew this place existed. They really needed a dance lounge in SA. This place hits the mark. Great place to dance and unwind with a craft cocktail. They even have $6 drink specials on Saturday nights. C beer is your thing they have $4 beer specials as well. I tried the house Manhattan and it was pretty good. It's a very nice lounge. Damiana is my favorite little late night place in St. Augustine. It's a creative space on the 2nd floor, sometimes thumping with music, sometimes thrumming with conversation, with an intriguing look and vibe. Damiana is good for a break from the writing I come down from Savannah to do here in Florida every so often. It's fun, the staff are vibrant and curious about whoever stops in, and they do their best to put a smile into everybody.
Really more of a 3.5 stars. This was our second time coming here. The first time it was quiet with good music and a chill vibe where we could talk and relax. This time it was like a club, which is a fun twist, but the DJ was playing music that just seemed all wrong for this type of place. It was just a bad mix of trap edm and rap and this place seems more suited for some deep house or something.
