Hands down best Mexican restaurant in Tampa area! Moving from Texas to Florida I was sadly disappointed in the lack of quality Mexican food. But I have found a gem! This place reminds me of home and the service is amazing as well. Very sweet waitress. You guys have gained a lifelong customer. And everyone I know will be hearing about how amazing the food and service is.

Ordered a grilled shrimp Gauc N’ Cheese Bowl, absolutely delicious! Filling and yet still felt healthy. A very generous portion of very large perfectly grilled shrimp

Had a great experience the server was absolutely fantastic and the quesadillas were the best quesadillas I’ve ever had. I will be going back a lot. Thank you so much for a place like this.

I love this place, I have been coming here for years. The people are so kind, never had a negative experience. I always get the big burrito meal and it never misses. 10/10 recommend if you are looking for a good Mexican restaurant

Updated review - My first trip to Guac n Cheese must have been on one of their busiest nights, as I have now been back twice and had an amazing experience.

Each visit service has been amazing, and the entrees are served in huge portions. The menu does lean slightly more towards Tex-Mex than Mexican.

Previously I had the Guac N Cheese burrito, this trip I had the Enchiladas with Shredded Chicken and Spicy Verde Sauce - and the portion size was spectacular.

The dining room is smaller and quite loud, but I’m not an interior designer so I am not sure how I would make the atmosphere more intimate.

So far this is the best Mexican restaurant I have found south of Bay-to-Bay, and plan to return many times again.

It’s a basic diner-like restaurant in a strip mall. The food is very good reliable and well priced. I know they don’t have a liquor license to use real tequila and make a real margarita but they have one on the menu so assume it is agave wine based. I just don’t understand why that means they have to use cheap powder premix and serve it tepid over ice. Use some other real ingredients like fresh lime, shake it so it’s truly cold, have some pride. This place is walking distance from my house , it’s a decent place to go but this one change would make all the locals go much more often.

My brother's go there a lot and they know them, as soon as they walk in the door,so it was kind of great to feel like you were at home. The waitresses were wonderful. They all greeted us with big smiles like they were glad we were there.

You need to go this restaurant if you wanna taste a bit of Mexico. Amazing food and service, generous portions and great vibes. They also have a second location in St Pete that is a must, full bar there , tasty drinks. I highly recommend Guac and cheese
