Marlene's Original Breakfast Sandwich

Very disappointed being charged $34 for two breakfast sandwiches. Written menu says $9.50 each, website says $12.50 each reality is even higher. My acknowledged email complaints was blown off for last two weeks. Steer clear.

Great sandwiches! But I think the croissant was not firm enough to hold my sandwich and just as the other review said, there is a off smell because of standing water, not raw sewage

I ordered two steak & egg bagels, two iced coffees, two croissants with jam, and one MOBS Tots Deluxe. Overall, the food was fantastic. The croissants were buttery, perfectly toasted, and paired so well with the jam—absolutely delicious. The iced coffees were decent, nothing standout, but refreshing.

The MOBS Tots Deluxe was a hit—the tots were extra crispy, and adding the deluxe option with the fried egg and two dipping sauces really pulled the whole dish together.

The steak & egg bagel came on an everything bagel, which was such a good choice. The steak was tender and flavorful, and the chimichurri sauce was spot-on. My only small critique is that the bagel sandwich was a bit greasy—but honestly, still really tasty.

All in all, I’ll definitely be coming back!

Very delicious! #8 steak n eggs was absolutely SLAMMIN!! Croissant with jam is a great starter before the main! Deluxe mobs tots as a side hits perfect!!

The sandwiches here are really good and they come out really quick. Eh have a lot of different options. I got the uncle and it has crispy jalapeños on it. Paired with the wedges it was sooo good. Reasonably prices as well. Only bad part is the whole place smelled like sewage. Not sure where the smell was coming from though.

Limited menu—but every item feels intentional. The standout is definitely the steak sandwich: tender, flavorful, and that bread? Perfectly crisp and chewy, like it was made just for this dish.

The space itself is warm with a barn like appeal , though the seating could be a bit more comfortable. Parking gets tricky if there are more than a few cars, so plan ahead.

All in all, Marlene’s is a great spot. It’s clear they focus on quality over quantity, and it shows. I’ll be back for that sandwich alone.

The best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had, hands down. Steak and eggs on a Cuban roll that somehow melts in your mouth and punches you with flavor. It looks basic but it’s a surprise party in every bite. This is the kind of meal you dream about days later. I tried other things too—but nothing topped that sandwich. If you're cruising through the Tampa-area and looking for a spot to grab coffee and a bite; this is the place! Clean atmosphere, friendly staff and a very unique and wholesome breakfast sandwich menu. I got the #3 Caprese and it was absolutely delish! Warm, fresh, flavorful and just the right sized portion. The iced caramel coffee was equally enjoyable. Just a great way to start the day and support local! You can take it to go or hang out in their covered patio area.

Best breakfast spot I’ve been to in Tampa so far!
