I’ve been visiting this establishment since 2002 when Goody’s was still in the shopping center. We still had a subway, a Tuesday morning, and cici’s pizza. After the new owners took over It’s gone downhill. It doesn’t taste the same. I found plastic in my egg roll and someone chewed on the packaging of my fortune cookie. They left their lipstick on it. I also posted a video on their Facebook page reviews of me pulling the plastic out.

I've been patronizing this establishment for 20 years, and I gave them a 4 star review 3mos ago on Goggle. Today on June 28th I stopped by for one of my usual meals, which is either chicken & broccoli SPICY, Lomein SPICY, Hot braised wings extra SPICY or Honey garlic wings ALL FLATS WELLDONE & SPICY. I went with House Lomein SPICY and Honey Garlic wings SPICY for my order. I actually haven't had their food in about 2mos because I've been on medical leave from work and haven't been able to get around as much. I sent family in with my order on a piece of paper written out in detail because I'm so FINICKY about my food. Also, I put my phone number on the paper if they needed to call for confirmation, because maybe my handwriting wasn't ledgeable. I always order the same 4 dishes and rarely change it up. Today, for some apparent reason my Honey garlic wings weren't SPICY or WELL DONE. I immediately called the establishment to complain about the mistake on my wings and get the situation corrected. My solution on this mistake was to bring back the wrongly made wings, but be compensated for my inconvenience. I'm home and exhausted from hoping on my foot. I was willing to get back out and come to their establishment despite my current medical limitations to get the correct order. However, the inconvenience, gas, and time should be refunded with the $9.71 wings on the house. My order consisted of 3 entrees, 1 appetizer, and 1 side. My entire order was $45.37, and I kept everything else because it was fine, but the wings were not. It saddens me that Great Wall's ownership couldn't see the fairness in taking a loss of wings that were prepared incorrectly and maintaining a customer for life. I will no longer be patronizing this establishment unless I have an ah moment that changes my mindset. I honestly felt devalued as a repeat patron/customer and won't tolerate the way I was treated. I know them from my job and have informed them about current sales and promotions. I honestly thought over the years we'd established a genuine rapport, but I was terribly wrong and I left upset and defeated. However, when I say I'm done with you...I'm truly done. I've observed a lot of restaurants could care less about customer's satisfaction, since Covid. The customer engagement, food quality, and service has taken a major decline and people no longer care about maintaining BRAND LOYALTY. Therefore, I'll take my coins and business elsewhere where I can be appreciated.
