This has got to be the best pizza in the Albany area. I've seen a lot of chain restaurants come but there's consistency with them. A MUST when you're in town or just in the mood for pizza or authentic Italian. I wish they had later hours on the weekends though.

Its hit or miss. Either the food is good and the service is excellent. Or the food is decent and the service is dismal.Last time we went, there were 4 tables sat. No food on any of them, we waiting for 20 minutes for a server and never got one. Would rather drive for an hour to get better service.

The sauce needs more herbs and spices. The chicken was tough and dry. The calzone was very good with just the right amount of cheese. Sarah was a great waitress. This was her first day and she was a terrific waitress.

Okay, first off, the staff is the friendliest I've seen since the Thai restaurant off Slappey Rd! The food is good and has enough room for the whole family!

As a local family owned restaurant, Picnic Pizza has been a favorite for over 40 years, going all the way back to when the first restaurant opened in the Albany Mall (mid 1970s?). While the locations have changed over the years, I think the food has ALWAYS been good. The food: I have never had a bad meal at Picnic Pizza...it is quite simply always great. Having lived and worked in Italy myself for a couple of years, I can state with confidence that Picnic Pizza is the closest you can get to authentic Italian pizza in the Albany GA area. The service: Our server last night was very attentive and a joy to speak with. As always, service was prompt and friendly. Our order was fresh and delivered accurately. The atmosphere: The restaurant is in a strip mall. It is a basic, functional restaurant with clean restrooms. This is the one area I think Picnic Pizza could improve upon. While it is clean and roomy, the restaurant itself is not a setting that I would call "inspiring" when it comes to appearance. Bottom line... not a romantic setting for a date night, but if we are hungry and just looking for great food, Picnic Pizza is great.

Went with our Pastor and a group of 13 guys from church. Even though they were closing in 30 minutes, they took us in and took care of us. Food was really very good. The service was fast and friendly. Perhaps a bit expensive but worth it for the time spent in fellowship with church brethren.

The atmosphere is awesome, but the pizza is undercooked and terrible. The chicken dish was dry, the pasta tasted like it was out of a box, and the sauce tasted like it was out of a can. They were out of half the stuff on the menu, and it's all overpriced. We had to tell the waitress 3 times to bring us a high chair, and she didn't comeback to the table for 15-20 minutes at a time. I'll pass on the next invite.

There are a few places in Albany to get great pizza, but the best place to get it is here! But don't get me wrong, they have the best Italian food in town as well! The service is always great and will make sure you have what you need.

It’s a no for me. Went for the calzone and Stromboli and it was not good. Ordered the combination calzone and Stromboli which had pepperoni, ham, sausage and cheese for $10 each. Very underwhelming. The Stromboli was basically the same as the calzone expect it had different cheese. Calzone had risotto cheese which I’m finding out I’m not a fan of. The sauce it came with was not that great. I ordered a club soda and got a flat sprite that had a weird after taste to it. The food took while to come out. The place was small and pretty clean. The service was pretty good.
