This is one of the best sushi places in Albany. Popcorn crawfish tempura and the Super crunchy roll are a must. The fried ice cream was delicious. They should offer delivery services.

Took 45 minutes just to get our starters and no one has said anything since. Terrible service spilled drink on my partner when the server finally brought his drink. Will never come back here

Nice people. Best sushi in southwest Georgia. Top notch ginger sauce on the salads, good food all around. Not much more needs to be said.

I’d suggest only going here if you like being ignored for half an hour after being seated and waiting an hour after ordering to be served. We arrived at 6:42 pm last night and it was 8:20 pm before we got our food. We understand being busy but maybe communicate with your patrons?? Waitress was MIA for most of our visit. Food was good but we immediately asked for a box and the check when we finally had our food delivered. It seemed like the staff was more concerned with filling to go orders than attending to the customers in the restaurant. We watched two couples get up and leave because of the neglect. Won’t be going back.

The pregnant Waitress was very friendly, the Sushi’s was delicious.. our entree portions were extremely too small they just spread food around on plate. This is our first and last time!

This is my spot anytime I visit Albany, GA this is a must for me. They know me by name. I have been a customer for years. They know my order by hard. I love the food here. Its indoor seating, they also serve sushi and alcoholic drinks for those who partake. I would definitely try this place if ever in Albany.

This was such an awful night. My fiancé and I walked into this establishment at 8:05. It is now 9:10, and we have not been served anything but drinks and soup and salad. The waitress told us there were only two more sushi orders ahead of ours, later we watched 10 orders of sushi be plated out and served. We are still sitting here waiting on our food after an hour and 5 minutes. She has not come to check if we need refills or to even apologize for the major inconvenience. Never come here.

The last 2 times we ate at Shogun we noticed that their Hibachi portions have been drastically cut down. At our last visit I ordered the vegetable hibachi. My vegetables consisted of approximately ½ of a cut up onion, 4 small pieces of zucchini, 1 slice off of a mushroom and 4 small pieces of broccoli. My guess is that they may be cutting back on portion sizes instead or raising prices due to inflation. But, if you do not serve people a decent portion for the price you are charging, they will not want to eat at your restaurant. It always seems so expensive to eat at Shogun and now you are not getting very much for your hard earned money. I wish there were better options in the area.

Amazing sushi, love the teriyaki chicken hibachi, the spring rolls are so good. My favorite thing was the gyoza. Also had the spicy sesame chicken rolls and they were alright, the chicken was on top and very spicy. Usually I can tolerate heat but it was very spicy. Although, don’t let that deter you to trying it. If you can handle spice then try it, you won’t be disappointed. Now the roll for the spicy sesame chicken is very mushy and has some sort of imitation crab in the middle which took me by surprise because I despise imitation crab. So I just ate the chicken and gave my bf the sushi rolls. It is VERY expensive here. I paid $80 for two people. Seating inside, but is very cramped. I’m sure the experience is nice, but I’d rather pick up and take my food home than sit elbow to elbow with other costumers.

Not too much to say, fish was fresh. I believe the restaurant was well and all of the service was good. They know how to serve up nigiri and sashimi right.Quick on and quick out under 20 as it should be.

The sushi was great. Chef's know what they're doing with that. Hibachi was horrible. Steak was thinking and flavorless, shrimp was definitely frozen and contained very little flavor, fried rice was sushi rice with soy sauce and an egg (definitely had better), noodles was spaghetti with teriyaki sauce and only 2 to 3 forkfuls on the plate, water was tap and unfiltered so it tasted funky. Service was good though. Waitress was kind and attentive. If you want a good Shogun, go to Columbus or metro Atlanta. This one is sad. Unless of course you're going in for the sushi.

We were seated quickly. However I was searching for a place called Hibachi. Instead we tried Shogun. Our food was cold when it came to the table. I addressed the waitresses about the issues She stated it should be hot .I explained to her there wasn't steam coming from the dinner plate . She she walked away and had no solutions. I didn't eat the food and 30 minutes later when I was able to get her Attention. I asked for a manager if she claimed there was no one there that I could talk to. I stayed what if I was refusing to pay .She stated I could talk to an older lady .the lady stated she will take 10% off the bill.. also via their policy A virgin daiquiri is the same price as one with alcohol. Which we were not informed until after we received our biIl.I was very UN happy
