I went to Sonny’s tonight after work because I wanted some smoked chicken. The food was so good and halfway through I took a spoon of green beans and had to pull the longest piece of blonde/brown piece of hair out of my mouth that was in the green beans. I called Sonny’s and the guy manager offered for me to bring the food back so they can replace it. Didn’t offer a refund but wanted to replace my food. Who wants more food after that happened? NOT ME. I still feel sick and disgusted. ? the drive through customer service was great though but I don’t want anything to eat with hair in it. ??

If I could give negative 5 stars I would. Idk what the deal with this place is since it reopened but literally every time we order whether it be to go or dine in there’s always an issue! Today I placed a togo order online & gave them 20 min to prepare it although it said 11 (it always takes 40 or more minutes), just to get here & be told they have no egg rolls which was the main thing I ordered, how hard is it to call someone & let them know you’re out of what they ordered??? A few weeks ago I ordered curb-side, sat for 20 minutes & no one ever came I ended up having to go inside anyway to get my order. I don’t think Vickie is the manager anymore because I find it IMPOSSIBLE to believe she would allow her restaurant to be ran this way!!! Do better or just shut it down again, this time permanently!
Arlonda working the drive thru was extremely rude. Absolutely no enthusiasm in her voice, waited for what felt like five minutes before taking our order. After every item (even drink) responded “anything else” before I could even finish my sentence. Then, when pulling up to the window, proceeded to have an attitude. Never said “have a good day” “thanks for choosing Sonny’s” “how are you doing” nothing. It doesn’t surprise me though.. about on par with every other food establishment in Albany, Ga (with the exception of Outback! Best customer service in town). If I choose Sonny’s again, I will never purchase through the drive thru. No matter how strapped for time I am.

I wish I could give 10 stars for the service. I took my mother in on her 92nd birthday. From the time we walked in until we left the staff made her feel like a queen. This is the kind of service that makes Sonny's Albany great. Awesome job.

BEST PLACE IN ALBANY.Visited Sonny's BBQ in Albany, GA last evening.SERVICE:From the moment we entered the doors, the people were super friendly. We were seated quickly. The server, KADIJAH, was a true gem. When she first spoke to us, immediately stopped what I was doing on my phone. You could hear such kindness and joy in her voice. When I looked up, her smile was genuine. She wasn't just there to earn a paycheck. She truly was there to serve her patrons and make a difference. We will alway be the one we ask for.THE FOOD:The food was fantastic. The best we've had at any Sonny's. And we've eaten in many throughout the country. Everything came out fresh and hot. We forgot to ask for cornbread instead of garlic bread and KADIJAH heard us talking and immediately brought some.THE MANAGEMENT:After having such service and food, I felt it necessary to let management know. PATRICK, the manager came to talk to us. He spent quality time listening to our feedback. He was a very humble kind guy. He gave praise to his employees as well as the corporation itself. It was obvious that the employees liked and respected him.Kid-friendliness: My kids loved it. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to kids.Wheelchair accessibility: The parking is great. Handicap parking is perfect. No Curbs to try to navigate.

The food was very bland. The mac and cheese had a lot of oil in the bottom of the bowl. The sliced pork and brisket was tender, but it lacked flavor. The ribs were the only meat that tasted like something. The drive-thru cashier/server was very nice.
Wonderful place to dine with friends. Good food as always!

Went through the drive thru and the young lady sat our food at the window. She didn't acknowledge us and proceeded to count down her drawer. Waited probably 10 plus minutes and the food was completely cold when we got it. Disappointed with the food temperature and service.

Sonny's BBQ has changed for the better they have upgraded remodel everything looks so fresh the place is clean good customer service great food I like to tell anybody that's near North Slappey to try Sonny's BBQ they are great and we will go back.
