Great food at decent prices ! I eat here at least 3-4 times a month Chicken FingersBoneless Wings

These were the toughest wings I've ever had. We spent over $50 for trash. Yep, trash because that's exactly where the wings and fries went. Fries were undercooked and you had to fight with the wings to eat them. No more of my hard earned money will be spent there.

Food is good. But bring a sleeping bag, it will take all day to get your food. I think the cook only knows how to make 1 order at a time.

We dined in. No-one greeted us when we arrived. We went ahead and ordered. As we waited on our food, we observed random customers who went in the kitchen and came out and sit down. We were thinking can anybody just walk in and out of the kitchen...the tables were not cleaned. We had to wiped down the table where we sit. My livers and fries was hot, but it was over season with seasoning salt. I also ordered 6 wings which was good. I will consider somewhere else to eat when visiting Albany. When we left the place no one said ya'll come back.....

This was my first visit ever to Tays and was recommended by my boyfriend and some mutual friends. I was somewhat skeptical because of the location, but I decided to give it a try because my boyfriend was adamant about having their wings for lunch. By the way, he's a fan of lemon pepper. Uponst entering the establishment I noticed the huge menu board and began reading off wing flavors to my boyfriend on the phone. The cashier was very friendly and engaging, which was a plus. I explained to her it was my first time coming and I didn't think to ask what she recommended. My boyfriend on the phone decided on lemon ranch and I had to be clear he didn't want his usual lemon pepper with ranch dressing. He said, he try the lemon ranch and I chose it too thinking it was a dry seasoning not wet. I ordered a 10pc wing only ALL FLATS with a $1.50 up charge FRIED HARD and my boyfriend had the 10pc wing combo fried hard. As I waited, I observed people ordering the pork chop, which a mutual friend said was good and Tays signature sauce and wondered if I should have gone with the hot ?. As I waited for my order, I overheard a customer dining in to get an order of "fresh fries" because the order he received was "old"The cook didn't seem to happy about it, so he asked the cashier to do it for him, whom he clearly knew personally. The cashier gladly obliged and I asked her for fresh fries ? for my boyfriend's order. She reassured me she'd take care of it. Eventually, the cook/manager on duty came out and asked me what I was waiting on as they started to get a rush. She seemed friendly also until I would have an issue with my order. When my order finally came up the cashier presented each order to me as she opened the containers and I saw an abundance of wetness. The wings weren't dry, but were actually wet and I let it be known I wasn't aware they were wet and was informed after my complaint about it that, " all wings flavors are wet, except lemon pepper. " To be honest, I think I should have been informed of this information regarding which flavors were wet or dry, when I specified it was MY FIRST VISIT. Sadly, that didn't happen and I was left with food I couldn't eat and threw away money.I did request to speak with the cook/manager on duty and she wasn't too happy about the interruption. I did apologize for the inconvenience and explained how I didn't know that particular wing flavor wasn't a dry rub and how I'd had lemon ranch in dry rubs with the Hidden Valley ranch seasoning. She informed me they didn't have anything like that and couldn't do REFUNDS. I explained that I didn't require a REFUND, but wanted more food please, that I could eat and enjoy. They still had the food in their possession the entire time and it hadn't exchanged hands at all during this transaction. Unfortunately, I left Tays DISSATISFIED and UNDERWHELMED. I honestly felt they should have ate the costs to create a CUSTOMER FOR LIFE versus me NOT RETURNING for FUTURE PATRONAGE. Since, the pandemic and even before to be honest people in Albany lack GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS and the ability to keep and maintain overall BRAND LOYALTY. Some might think I'm being too technical, but I work too hard for my money and one of my degrees is in business management and each situation needs to be handled in a case by case situation periodically depending on circumstances involved. Good luck Tays and can anyone tell me where I can find a wing place with dry ranch seasoning and not wet...I guess I'll make my own. ????
