I thank the reviewer who posted the inspection report because that is the first thing I looked for when I arrived for a Valentine Dinner, reservation made by Open Table at 7:15 pm for two. The report is now at 88 and easily found at the front by the oysters. I suspect in the next week or two it will be over 92. I'll keep this short as possible. We were greeted with a smile by the hostess and seated at our reservation time. The place was full. Our server knew the menu and drink offerings. During the entire meal I was able to watch the staff. Even though they were very busy, the service was prompt, pleasant and the body language of the employees was relaxed but on task. Servers were smiling and interacting with each other and guests in a professional manner. Kitchen has hired a sous chef that has vastly improved the flow of food orders. The cooks were also smiling, relaxed body language and were busy. We had Elderflower Spritz (refreshing), Red Hare Tangerine IPA (liked); whitefish spread and crackers were excellent and fresh; Roasted beet salad was generous and delicious; we each had the catch of the day, one had blackened swordfish and one had pan seared swordfish with creamy celery root purée, sautéed spinach, chimichurri-basil pesto, hakurei turnips, crispy fried leeks . Excellent and priced right at $32 . For dessert we had chocolate gelato with dark cherries and a smoky Manhatten. Our server was Abby and the greeter was Heather. 4 stars.

Scored a 50 - U on their health inspection on 1/20/2022. Won't be going back until they get their score up.

Service definitely needs upgrading. Ate 12/3 reservations at 7:30 for two. Yes date night. Kept us waiting for table for 15 minutes. Could have grabbed a drink at the bar if we knew the wait, but no just kept us standing there. Sat down, menu selection was very small, but nice variety. Very noisy restaurant. Placed drink order - martini and a beer. Waited over 20 minutes for the Martini, the beer was over 30 minutes. During this time we were continually asked to order. Our response was after we get our drinks ..... hint where is the alcohol. Once drinks came we ordered - calamari for the appetizer and we wanted that out first and after the appetizer we wanted our entrées which was the snapper and the muscles. Well the entrées came out before the appetizers and then we're like OK just hold the calamari until we're done with the entrées and we'll have the calamari afterwords well about two seconds later the calamari came out. The food was prepared very well and the prices were good but service was awful. The server was very soft spoken and her middle name was sorry. For a place that is trying to have an upscale atmosphere and service, it failed. The food and drinks were good. But everything else was out of a bad comedy about a restaurant. Would I recommend this place. Probably not even though the food and drinks were good, it was not the dining out experience that one would want at their price point.

SO CLOSE! We had raw oysters that tasted great but they were only opened and not separated/loosened from the shell. We both loved our salads. She loved her muscles. My seared scallops and pork belly tasted good but the 5 scallops were small and the scallops were not seared and had zero caramelization. A pet peeve of mine is an open kitchen if there is nothing unique to see. We saw food sitting under the heat lamps too long, chef/ cook on their phones, kitchen banter and other stuff .

If we hadn't had Luke for our server, the evening would've been a wash. 4 of us went on a Sunday. The place was pretty busy. I ordered a dozen Blue Point oysters on the half shell for an app -$32, if all the oysters had been removed from the shell and placed in a measuring cup, it might've been half a cup. Luke brough out 3 more oysters without us mentioning anything because he could tell they were tiny. My husband had muscles, usually I get to eat a few, unfortunately there were maybe 15 muscles and again, good flavor but tiny. It took at least 30 minutes for the apps to come out. For my entree, I had the snapper prepped as follows, mango-papaya salsa, puréed tomatillo, crispy plantains, garlic lime crema. Snapper was small, but good, the pureed tomatillo, tasted exactly like canned Herdez salsa verde, the plantains were like a greasy hash brown patty and the mango salsa was good, IDK where the "garlic lime crema was ?? Another person had fish and chips in a translucent oily batter along with tasteless fries. Two others had the salmon, excellent quality lacking in flavor, just a fish on a plate. I'd rather have really good food in a roadside stand than quality seafood blandly prepared in a $5 million build out. Ocean & Acre has a lot invested and I would suggest hiring a chef, and training the children assisting excellent servers like Luke to ensure return business. I will try O&A one more time which will be our third, but I will definitely go during off hours in the hopes of attention to detail and flavor which one would expect at restaurant of this calibre at these prices.

Surely someone in the kitchen got the calamari recipe wrong! Sweet battered calamari? No thanks! Shrimp and grits were ok but the tails were left on and I had to make sure I inspected each one to make sure I didn't ingest shells. Crème Brule ... top was scorched (tasted scorched and bitter) and the Crème was runny. The French fries were good though

Currently sitting in restaurant. It's almost 7pm and we have been here for 2 hours. Just got the food let see how it taste..worth the wait? Not worth it. You can get a better grouper at Texas road house.

Had dinner at Ocean and Acre with a group of 7. Excellent service and food. Had just re-opened for "sit-down" seating, but had clearly returned to that format with ease.

Open Doors = Bugs Inside And the heat. Inside was as hot as outside. Forget the fact no one spoke to me after I sat down. After the 10th nat or bug landed on me I knew it was time to go. This was after I identified myself as a first time visitor and someone who was on my lunch hour. The host cared enough not to send someone my way. I looked at the menu. Pricy!! The fantastic looking lobster roll on the website, which caused me to come, was not the menu. Matter of fact many things one would think would be on a menu of such a seafood restaurant were not. I could not ask any questions as no one ever came to my table. I was left alone except for the bugs. I got up and left telling the bartender to advise anyone who came that I would not be back. He said nothing. I then walked a mile to the parking space. Parking at this place is atrocious. Lack of parking is why I will never try any other establishment in this complex. No one could say they had staffing issues because of the Covid problems going on. There was more staff present than customers. No one was in the dining area to the right when I entered and no one was in my section. There was plenty of staff. Of course they were all huddled together by the register near the kitchen talking while ignoring me, but that is another matter. Others left reviews warning us all and I did not pay attention. So I’m warning you, don’t eat here, don’t come to this place, do not come to this facility as you will be disappointed too.

Not good. I felt bad for our poor server who was busy but come on. We got to the table and we sat for almost 20 minutes from when we ordered drinks to when they arrived. The Old Fashion I ordered was more like bourbon flavored water and was nasty. I decided to switch to wine to save myself from their bar tender and I saw my glass of wine sitting on at the station for almost 35 minutes. I was DONE with my meal before she brought it to the table. I tried multiple times to catch her attention to politely point out that it was there but she never looked over at us. Our Calamari came out not just room temperature but COLD. Obviously it had been sitting for ages waiting on our server to bring it out. I tried to send it back to get something warm, but I tried multiple times to catch her eye to talk to her about it and never did. I have up and ate cold calamari. Then there was my wife’s dinner. She has a few food allergies so she just asked them to hold a few things from the plate. Nothing special. No substitutions or special replacements. Just hold a few things. Instead they brought the plate out with nothing held. Again it took forever to catch the servers attention. They brought it back to the kitchen and and 5 minutes later the her plate came back out. They obvious did not refire a new pork chop for her. Instead they rinsed off the gravy, pan seared and made it tough as nails and disgusting looking. That was the last straw for us. We definitely won’t be back. The only reason they didn’t get 1 star was that my scallops were very tasty.

Casual restaurant in new Halcyon development. We went on Christmas Day, so that may explain the long wait times for service and food, as well as some items being barely warm when served and others on the same plate being too hot to eat. I will say the beef carpaccio with the salad on top was the best item we got; the dressing on the greens was amazing and the watermelon radishes were so crispy. The bacon wrapped scallops were very hot on the outside but still translucent on the inside - some people like them that way, but unfortunately the person who ordered them in our party prefers a firm, solid white scallop. Lobster roll was good overall (lots of lobster) but barely warm (got the hot buttered preparation). Hopefully this visit was just due to it being Christmas Day and assuming the usual head chef had the day off.

Went here with my husband and another couple on a saturday night. Atmosphere was excellent. Service was good. Ordered the night herder and it was terrible. Then ordered EBB Tide and it was better. My husband ordered Jameson and ginger and he really liked that. We got oysters and calamari and they were both good, not great. I got the bacon wrapped scallops. It was one of the best tasting entrees Ive ever had, however, portion significantly came short of expectation. You get THREE and they are small. Make sure you do not come hungry. I also had the lobster bisque soup and it was the best soup ive ever had, but once again, portion and meat quantity fell short. My husband had the fish special (blackend grouper) and it was good. My husband wishes quantity was larger. The bill for 4 people with 2 drinks each and 3 appetizers was $300 without tip. Overall, good atmosphere and food was good, but price was absolutely ridiculous. We figured up it was about 35% over priced for what you get. Would never eat here if I was paying for it. Would for sure if I wasn’t.

Reserved a table outside on the patio for a dinner that did not disappoint. Our table of 6 ordered a range of entrees from burgers to the scallops and we couldn't keep our forks out of each other's selections. So good. You don't have to be a seafood lover to find something you'll like - but know that the menu is largely seafood. Atmosphere is relaxed, seating super comfortable and the wait staff knowledgeable, friendly and warm. Make reservations - seats outside go quickly.

We held a large group luncheon at this restaurant and our guests raved about the food. Striped Sea Bass and Mushroom Fregola Risotta was a big hit. However, if you're not a seafood fan their other "Land" dishes are just as good. Our clients loved the roasted chicken just as much. Their menu does change often since their ingredients are super fresh and some are only available seasonally.

Limited fresh fish on menu—Striped Bass and Halibut. Lobster Bisque terrific. Crab Cake app very good. Service very good. Loud? Yes.
