From the "do it the right way" legacy of its founder to the skillful craftsmanship of its new owner who's added his own flair, Independent Baking Company is a must stop if you're passing through Athens (or lucky enough to live close by). Their fabulous selection of amazing artisan breads and incredible pastries are out of this world. Congratulations Kevin and best wishes on the continued success of your business.
Suggested by a friend to get really great "home made" breads. We stopped and purchased several loaves including 2 baguettes which barely made it home as the smell was overwhelming and we were drooling! OMG, went back 2 days later for more!
There are so few true bakeries anymore. This is one of them. Breads of all sorts, scones, cookies, coffee and other delicious goodies. I got a lemon hazlenut scone...big and so delicious!
