Went for lunch. Had not been in many years. The atmosphere is open and beautiful. I am certain the food is exceptional. However, the dish I order was way too spicy for me. I was only able to eat 2-3 bites before my mouth was on fire. The waitress never came back to ask how the meal was and when she saw my full plate of Chicken Rigatoni pushed to the side, she asked if I was done and took it away without inquiring if there was anything wrong.Meals were prompt and hot. My companion enjoyed her steak salad but substituted chicken and I did enjoy the cream of mushroom soup special.

I discovered this quaint little bistro while speaking at a convention in Atlanta and I was amazed. The rainbow trout was grilled to perfection and, pared with a side of their creamed spinach, was the perfect meal following my drive from Nashville. Excellent service reminiscent of an earlier era when those things mattered. Thank you Joey D. Highly recommend.

The five stars is for the wonderful service received from Debbie C. We had 4 adults and 3 kids under the age of 10, the youngest one just having been awakened to come into the restaurant. She was wonderful in helping to put a smile on the little ones face with her extra attention to details only a kid would appreciate. The food was delicious - I had the filet mignon salad which was quite tasty and the steak perfectly prepared as ordered, medium rare. The entire table shared the calamari, croissants with honey, and the brownie desert - all of which were enjoyed by the entire table. Sorry I didn't take any pictures as I as focused on eating --- yum!!! I would definitely return and would request Debbie as our server in the future.

Great Great tasting food in a restaurant run well. One of my Atlanta favorites!
My family and I visited Joey D's to celebrate my grandfather's 76th birthday. We ordered the calamari and croissants for our appetizers (always a favorite). For my entree, I ordered the Delmonico with a loaded baked potato. By far the best cut of steak I've had in while. The restaurant was a little busy, but our server was very attentive and ensured that everything was to our liking. I truly enjoyed everything and can't wait to try some more great things from the menu.

The look and feel were of a high-end quality restaurant. The Service was outstanding. The pace of food delivery was right on time. No real waiting for anything. The Waiter had very good recommendations and he validated our sections. The Waiter knew the menu inside and out along with the drink selections. The food taste was amazing. The portions were very fair for the cost. I have recommended this restaurant to my friends and coworkers already.

I'm in Atlanta for work and Joey D's was recommended by some locals I met. This place was amazing. I had the prime rib and it was one of the best I've had in a very long time and the service was great. I will definitely be back again.

Not a busy Monday night and the service was very slow. We were seated from the bar and it took more than 10 min before anyone came over, so no water etc.At the end when we were all sitting with our leftovers boxed up for 15 plus min and 2 folks needed to leave. We all stood up and took a picture then I waited with my friend who took us out to pay. Still another close to 10 min. This group plans to do this again and we loved the food but sadly I think we will go elsewhere. The slow service makes the person who got the group together look bad. (Again, this was a slow Monday night)
