We stopped by this retro diner for breakfast during our last trip to Atlanta. The breakfast was decent but nothing extraordinary. However, the prices were reasonable, and the service was friendly southern hospitality.

I had breakfast here with my family. The wait for our party of 4 was about 15-20 min. When we finally went inside, we were seated at a booth. The usual decorations were down due to an upcoming filming, but the vibe was unaffected. We had a great server. She had an upbeat personality and was on top of things. The food could be a 4 out of 5 stars, but the overall experience was a 5. I loved the chicken fried steak. The lemon icebox pie was just ok. I was expecting something better given the accolades it had received. I sampled my family’s food and liked it. Pretty much straightforward food with no razzle dazzle.

What's there to say that hasn't already been said? Legendary diner. Service was excellent. Food was spot on diner food. Grits were perfect Southern grits. Small seating areas and bathroom has to be accessed by going outside of the diner. All part of the experience.

I’m giving The Silver Skillet 5 stars based on the staff.I can’t base it on the food, because I’m currently at odds with Door Dash. You see, I placed a Door Dash order, paid for it, and headed to work and pick up lunch on my way. When I told the very nice lady at the register I was there for pick up, she looked confusedI told her I placed an order on Door Dash. That’s when I was told they didn’t work with Door Dash.Anyway,The staff couldn’t be friendlier if they tried. And very understandingBut folks, they don’t do online orders. So don’t even tryI’m looking forward to leaving a little earlier for work next time, so I can go in, order to go, and enjoy my lunch.Oh by the way. They place smells AMAZING and it was spotless

Old school retro diner. I went there twice; lunch and breakfast as it was right next to my hotel. Service was impeccable. Food is good ole homestyle diner food. Nothing fancy. Portions are big. Biscuits were the best part. My only complaint is the coffee - Terrible. But that is typical of most diners.
