Great Overall experience . Only caveot, our server Lakenya , although truly a pleasure and extremely nice . Gave us the impression of « Hurry up and order , eat and get out so I can get another group in « . We would have stayed longer (and spent more $$ ) but did not feel it was an option. Would return without hesitation.
Olivia, our waitress, was great! Food was solid! Ambiance was a vibe. It was a bit loud but speaks to the amount of people who were there and having a good time. Will definitely be back!
Hasn't change in quality — both food and service in the 12+ years we've been going. We moved away a few years ago but are back and one of the first places I wanted to go for lunch when in the city recently. Never disappoints!
The fried chicken was excellent! The porch chop was well cooked and seasoned. The duck was a bit xhwey and not well seasoned. It was a loud environment. The waiter was great. We thought it was a bit overpriced.
As out of towners, we were trying to enjoy local/southern fare. We really enjoyed our experience here. Great food, fun libations, inviting ambiance and the service was very friendly and efficient. We will come back if ever back in Atlanta. Mission accomplished...
Here's a refined version that emphasizes the importance of your feedback: The level of service received during our visit was disappointing. It took 30 minutes to receive a cappuccino, and the server failed to provide any explanation about the dishes we selected. Additionally, the plates on the table were dirty, and no straws were offered. While the quality of the food would bring us back, the service and cleanliness left much to be desired. Addressing these issues is critical for improving the overall brunch experience.
Food usually is good but last night's pork chop was very tough. They offered to send it back but due to time constraints we couldn't wait. When the check came they deducted the price of the meal which we really didn't expect as I had finished my meal.
Our lunch was delicious and the service was good. Wish it were more handicap accessible and they were very good making accommodations. A party of 5 is not their best thing. I would definitely eat there again when in Atlanta!
I love this restaurant but service at the bar was horrible. I ordered before two people next to me and they got their food about 15 minutes before I did. Server was borderline polite and was unhelpful.
First visit to SCK and it will be a regular stop when in the city. Fried chicken and waffles topped my list and the she-crab soup was exquisite. Andrew was our server and gave us impeccable attentions and care. Parking can be a bit hectic but the meal is completely worth looping the block.

Dinner at South City Kitchen was lovely. I visited while attending a conference in Mid Town in August. I started with the Fried Green Tomatoes. So yummy! The goat cheese was a delightful creamy and tangy touch and the tomato based sauce was outstanding. A touch of spice but not very much. I had the smoked pork chop with a green pea, onion and potato mix. SO GOOD! The only thing I would do differently is ask for the horseradish sauce on the side, but otherwise perfect. I had full plans of ordering one of their Southern desserts but literally could not eat another bite. My waiter and the ambience were very nice. It's a touch loud but not over-bearing. I highly recommend and will visit again next time I am in Atlanta!
South City Kitchen is one of our favorite places for brunch in Atlanta. Every item that we have tried on the menu has been excellent. Service is always friendly and attentive. We especially appreciate our frequent service person, Andrew. His professionalism and sense of humor shines through and he is an asset to SCK.
SCK is one of my favorite local restaurants in Midtown. The food is consistently delicious, the service is consistently fantastic, and the only drawback that I would even think about is the challenge with parking. But South City Kitchen has provided alternatives with a parking discount that I utilized, and it worked out fantastic. I'll be certain to come back for another helping of your famous fried chicken dish.
As usual (it's been a minute since I last dined at the Midtown location), South City Kitchen did an amazing job with their creative food options and their tastiness! In addition, we had a wonderful server, Kenneth, who gave us great recommendations including insight into portion sizes and pointed out to my GF friend those options that would meet her dietary needs. The weather was pleasant for sitting out on the patio and the overhead fans were helpful, too. Looking forward to dining here again!
The ambience looks great but as we past 12:30 pm, lunch was in full swing, the resturant becomes so loud with everyone talking, we had to speak loudly to be heard or even to hear ourselves. We were seated on the ground floor. Perhaps when the hostess wanted to seat us on the upper floor, we should have taken it. Oh well, live & learn. Food was not too bad, service from hostess, waiter & servers were above average. Good enough for a 22% tip ??
