Pond House Restaurant

Beautiful restaurant and great service. The food was fantastic. We didn't have to wait long for a table either. I would highly recommend.

This restaurant is so cozy first time going there atmosphere was very nice my husband steak was delicious but mine was not so good I know the chef that cook the steak knows what he's doing but scallops were horrible very rubbery not very good they diffinally need to get better quality scallops

The Pond House is a lovely location — the building is charming. The staff polite and service prompt. Both my dining partner & I ordered the half and half fried jumbo shrimp and oysters plate which came with 5 shrimp, 6 oysters and 2 sides. I chose grits and coleslaw. My dining partner the loaded baked potato with coleslaw. The meal was mediocre. The shrimp were definitely not jumbo. Neither shrimp or oysters were hot and I had no idea what the breading was. The grits had good consistency but was not hot. The coleslaw was good - crisp & sweet. My dining partner said the loaded potato was good. The wine was listed simply as merlot, cabernet, sauvignon and pinot gris with all glasses $6.95. Neither of us had ever heard of the 2 labels carried. But I ordered the merlot and my dining partner the cabernet. Neither of us drank more than 3 sips nor were either interested in trying the other’s. I am unsure if it was the labels or that the bottles had been opened for days. No one asked us about the full glasses left at the table when we asked for and paid our checks.

We had 6 adults and a baby check added up to $250 + 15% gratuity amounting to $277. We left a $50 tip on the table after I got home and looked at my check I see they automatically added the 15% gratuity without my knowledge so this waitstaff ended up with $85 tip

Great food and people.

I have heard a lot about the smoked pork chop and it was good but my wife ordered the seafood platter and the crab cake was burnt, the fried scallops were undercooked and the hush puppies were also burnt in addition to taking a long time to come after the others had received their food. It’s a long way to go for mediocre food.

This was the first time going to the Pond House with my wife. The staff were very friendly and our server Chelsea was AWESOME. The atmosphere was great and the food was FANTASTIC! I ordered the fried catfish filet with fries and cheese grits. My wife had the ribeye with a salad and sweet potato. I would recommend this restaurant to family and friends. We look forward to going back in the near future.

We were down here camping at Seminole State Park in Georgia. Passed the sign on the way in. We try to go out one night to eat. This place was out of this world good!!! Nothing was bad. Had fried bone in catfish and catfish filets. Fried pickles. It was absolutely GREAT!!! Lauran, our server, was top shelf!!! Will definitely be making the 5 hour trip back down here. As Seminole State Park is very nice also.

Food is always delicious, nice environment, and awesome staff. One of the best places to eat in town!

Great meal. Several people there for a Thursday night but there was not any wait time. We did arrive early around 5:15. We had pork chop meal and the grilled chicken meal. Everything was delicious and lots of leftovers so I won't have to cook tomorrow night.
