Stopped in for a late dinner and despite being pretty packed, the service was excellent, we were seated quickly and the food came out on time. Food was excellent, good selection of drinks and convenient to the convention center area.

We went by accident and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. Its in a weird location so expectations weren't high. After looking at the menu TRIGGER FISH stood out. It's my favorite fish and this is the first time ive seen it on a menu sobi had to try it. The rice is on has lima beans and isn't great but that fish was amazing. Loved it

Update: We went back the next night and I got the Tavern Wings with fries and my hubby got the Samlom and Grits! Yep, they can do that! We also got the Shrimp and Crab "Nachos"!Marlow's Tavern was AMAZING! First, the atmosphere was relaxed but gave a casual upscale vibe. We were seated as soon as we came in. I viewed the menu online before we came because I am a very picky eater, so I wanted to make sure there was at least someone on the menu I would eat. The server was very nice. We got the Tavern Wings for the appetizer. OMG! They were perfectly cooked. I don't eat sauce, so we got that on the side. The wings come seasoned with a spicy dry rub that was so good. For our entrée, I got the Tavern Burger add cheese and bacon with Tavern fries. The burger was cooked just as I asked, well done, but it wasn't dry. I wish the fries would have been taken out about 30 seconds earlier, but they were still good. My husband got the Shrimp and Grits. Now, I have never seen shrimp and grits like these. The grits were made into a crusted grits patty! The picture will explain that better! He got 18 shrimp! 18! He said that it was the best shrimp and grits he has ever had, and we have been to a lot of restaurants where he has gotten shrimp and grits. You have to try!
Kevin was an amazing waiter !! Wish I lived in the Georgia. I would go to this restaurant just for Kevin’s amazing service. The food was great also.

Arrived at 5:13pm they weren’t super busy. They sat us right away we ordered an appetizer and our entrees at the Same time at 5:20. Nachos came out quick but the person who I assume was the manager because she didn’t speak to us, gave us the nachos and said I’ll be back out with plates……never returned! Still no biggie we ate them and enjoyed. Here’s where things take a turn it’s 6:05 pm and our food isn’t done. My daughter and I piled up empty cups and a beer can at the end of the table because at this point it’s been 45 mins n we’ve seen our waiter once! No drink refill didn’t come to see if I needed another beer just AVOIDED us! So now it’s 6:25pm and I get up and go to the waitress and POLITELY tell her mam it’s been an hour and we have to go so ring me up for our drinks and appetizer. I leave her my card so this isn’t dragged out any longer. She then returns my card after charging me $98.00 for my entire meal that I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED! I asked her how does 3 drinks and nachos cost $98 bucks?? She says “oh I told them rush your food into to go boxes”. I was lost for words at this point! I told her absolutely was not going to continue to wait. I literally just told her we have to go! I asked for a manager and she said “ I will just refund your money and charge you correctly” this was an absolutely terrible experience! I wasn’t looking to get my drinks for free but I definitely wanted a manager to know about our experience.
I've never had a bad experience here. The food is excellent and the servers are always friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.
