After waiting about 15 minutes once we were seated, our server Humberto came and was a delight! He went over the menu and food came out in a timely fashion, hot and tasty! My husband had been craving nachos and he was indeed satisfied! Food was fresh. Managers came out to greet us! Service was a tad slow after but it was a Friday night and Humberto was in and out.
Horrible!!!! Do not go! I had 4 waiters. Everyone seemed confused. It was far from busy. Our appetizers NEVER CAME! I could have stayed home and cooked. Tbh. Never again. OH! And $3.45 for 2 watered down ass lemonades? HA! They could have spit in my face and got a better review
I have always wanted to try Nacho Daddy in Las Vegas but every time I go I have never made it. So I was very excited that downtown Duluth opened one up. I actually enjoyed this establishment and the service was absolutely amazing! Big props to Julian who was our server, he did a wonderful job. The food, for me, was ok. It didn't blow me away. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad by ANY means. It was just ok. I may not have ordered the right things, I don't know. I can just say it wasn't impressive. Maybe it was the "chain" feeling. I think I need to return to maybe try the scorpion shot and actually get nachos. I always like to give another go around for redemption (although 3 stars isn't that bad). I will update if it changes, will keep you posted Yelpers! I posted a photo of the Happy Hour specials in case anyone is interested
How on earth downtown Duluth got so lucky in the restaurant realm lately is beyond me. (Anyone else remember the dirt roads we used to have in Duluth)? ANYWHO - nacho daddy is great! A super fun place that serves up MASSIVE portions of nachos (y'all.. split an order. Just do it) margaritas are great and everyone was super sweet to our kiddo - what more can you ask for??
Never got to review to food, or try it. They quoted me a 35 minute wait time. And it's been over an hour and still nothing..just waiting. Hopefully this place has great food and is not a major disappointment. But maybe we will never know. If it takes this long to get a seat, how much longer would it take to get food? ...every time I ask the hostess it will be "just another 10 min Update: the host accidentally took our name off the waitlist, never got an apology or manager. Then when we finally ordered. They messed up my order so I had to wait as the rest of my party ate. When I finally got my overpriced nachos they were so average and mediocre. I could've got something similar for under 5 minutes at Taco Bell. And the stinger nacho daddy hot sauce was some of the worst hot sauce I've ever had.
Came for drinks in celebration of a friends bday during COVID-19. They limit the group of people to six and they stagger seating to promote social distancing. Inside and outside seating were available. We left a neighboring establishment to come here for drinks. Got the mango margarita pitcher for three and it was okay. My friends are particular to Patron so I maybe should have not gotten the house brand. The birthday boy did order the scorpion shot. its a double shot of silver tequila with a small scorpion in it. Its only $19.99 and you get to keep the glass. We had plenty of beer earlier from Truck and Tap so I think the shot put the final nail in his coffin. He was out after that. We came mainly for the scorpion shot and it was worth it just to watch. House margarita was a no go but the flaming shrimp was divine. Amazing flavor, not spicy at all and the presentation of it being on fire is cool. Will come again and try more food. Staff was pleasant and very flexible with my inebriated friends. 1 pitcher, 1 shot, 1 appetizer = $85.09
This place was pretty cool. Was able to call ahead and place my order for a colleague and myself to stop in for a quick lunch. The host/server was really accommodating to have the food ready at our lunch time so we could enjoy it at the restaurant and get back to work in time. Not sure that's a "all the time" option, but it was definitely a bonus! The food was hot and tasty and the portion was huge!
Food was great, drinks even better but what truly set this place apart was the staff. While most restaurants are struggling with COVID-19 and shutting down operations Nacho Daddy has staff ready and willing to take care of their customers. The staff seemed happy to be there and happy to have customers, taking time to truly interact with customers and make them feel welcome.
Wow, this place was sooo good. It probably helped that the restaurant wasn't too packed because of the whole Coronavirus scare, but the service was on point. Tionna was our server, and she was on point! Food arrived quickly and was fresh. If it's your first time here, check in through yelp to receive a free house margarita..from what we ordered, I can't recommend the spicy shrimp nachos (which had green nachos for st Patty's!) and the lobster & crab enchiladas. They were both pretty good, but the spicy shrimp nachos were to die for. They also have an extensive vegan menu, which looked really good. If you're in the area, I recommend checking out this place!
I absolutely loved my visit to Nacho Daddy. The atmosphere was so laid back the music was ol school and had a nice vibe. The food was full of flavor and plentiful. The bartender was super friendly and funny and his suggestion was on point. A must try if your in Duluth.
I had been wanting to come here for quite some time and my sister and I finally went. They have individual seating as well as community seating. We decided to sit at community high top in the middle of the restaurant. Our server, Saf, came over and took our drink orders. Yelp pro tip, check in for a free house margarita, but you have to order an entree. We also browsed the happy hour menu, it was slightly disappointing bc it was only food and no drinks. I loved the fact that they had a vegan section on their menu, which is very helpful for vegans and those who don't eat meat. We ordered vegan chick'n street tacos, which comes with 2 tacos, to start and then each ordered the vegan chick'n nachos as our entrees. The food came out back to back rather than their being time in between our tacos and nachos, which wasn't a problem, it was just unexpected. The nachos were a pretty large portion size and we realized we should've probably ordered 2 different entrees and split them. We ate our loaded nachos but also noticed the absence of mushrooms as advertised on the menu. Everything was good and filling. Ate just about the whole thing. The chips were also green, not sure if that's bc they were vegan chips or that's just the color chips they chose to use. They had a few TVs playing sports and a few playing music videos. The vibe was chill and there was plenty of seating.
Many gluten free save choices. Nachos are amazing. tacos were okay. you have to try this place. go for a walk after dinner. safe area.
Great place to eat! Great service!!
Fun atmosphere food and drinks were really good. Bartender inattentive and rude. Felt like we inconvenienced her with our requests.
Atmosphere easy going. Food delicious and our server was on point. My husband and I had a great time and enjoyed the food very much. He had the fajita burrito, and I had the crispy avocado taco as I am transitioning to vegan. This restaurant has something for everyone from being gluten-free, a meat eater or a vegan. If you and your friends all has dietary needs this is the place to bring them. We will surely return and I can't wait.
We tried to go here when it first opened a year ago and the wait was 2 hours at 5:30 on a weeknight. We didn't wait and never tried again until now. This is in downtown Duluth so parking is not ideal, but you shouldn't let that stop you. We were immediately seated and it isn't all that big inside. The bar side has more tables than the restaurant section, but they do have rooftop dining too. Just not weather conducive the night we went. Our waitress was amazing. Super friendly and checked in on us. Ask for Tionna! They have daily specials- Monday kids eat free so keep that in mind haha We both ordered nachos of course, it seemed like a rule you have to try them. They were so delicious and huge, we definitely could have shared. There are many other menu options which I'm eager to try. We both loved our food and are eager to go back again. They have a lot of beer, wine and margarita options. And coke zero ! Tionna told us the 1 year anniversary celebration is February 25.
My husband and I found them on google maps and thought why not. We were not let done in our food selection or our drink choice. If you like Mexican food you should give them a try.
Our server Alena was great! Recommended some great drinks and good. Got the Cadillac Margarita which had me like WHOA on my first sip! The whole staff was amazing and even the manager stopped by our table to make sure we were good! Excellent customer service!
The lights out front will draw you in before anything else does. You can see them from a mile away and will immediately want to know what that is. It's a bright and colorful brick building that is very inviting. It's huge with an upstairs and a downstairs so you're bound to find seating for 2 or a large group of friends. With televisions on every wall, it's the perfect sports setting for game day, too. The patio upstairs has a great view of Duluth with a bar so you don't have to trek up and down the stairs for a new drink. Plus, if you check in on Yelp, you'll get a free margarita with the purchase of an entree! Parking can be hard during peak lunch/dinner times but you can still find a spot on the street or in a lot nearby after couple of circles around the block. The food is of course amazing! The nachos are HUGE so come hungry or expect to share with friends. I came with 2 other people and we were all stuffed after sharing the steak and shrimp nachos. We added some extra queso on top and that was the true icing on the cake. I haven't personally tried the appetizers yet but I've only heard good things about them.
It's a fun, lively, and energetic atmosphere. The wait staff is incredibly friendly and highly accommodating. We all ordered a variety of entrees. I ordered their Supreme Nachos. The tortilla chips were crunchy and freshly made. The meat and toppings were fresh. I really enjoyed my feast here! See the picture below of my nachos! Will definitely go back for more!
I love nachos! I had a big craving for nachos so I tried out Nacho Daddy for the first time. It did not disappoint. I got their Supreme Tostado Nachos and they were so yummy! My husband tried the flaming shrimp tacos and they literally lit them on fire at the table - how cool! My only complaint would be the price was a little high for the amount of nachos you got. But the experience and the atmosphere made it worth it. Definitely go check them out!!
Ok , downtown Duluth has made a huge push to have a downtown with energy. Nacho is a fun place with different dining venues. Traditional booth , high energy bar and high top tables and when the weather is good a fun roof top type party deck. I remember the food selection was good and margaritas were substantial. Going once a month for me will be enjoyable. Chris
This is where your next meal should be. It's truly an experience to dine here. I gave a little of everything a try. My appetizer was the queso which comes with pico de gallo & fresh jalapeños on top. Aye it was bomb . My main course was the ultimate enchiladas & I was impressed. It was packed with delicious flava & loaded. I really enjoyed my chicken enchiladas. This place is nicely laid out for hanging out, watching a game, or even grabbing lunch during work. You can't go wrong here.
I love how show stopping their store front is, lots of neon lights, the patio, and music/tvs loud enough for passersby to be tempted to turn their heads and look and want to give them a try. Two floors, upstairs is their very nice patio and downstairs is your typical tables and bar lay out. The upstairs patio is great! A nice view of Duluth and there is also a bar up there as well. If you check-in on yelp, you get a free marg with a purchase of an entree... great perk. Parking is a bit of a fuss especially during peak hours since it is a shared lot with all the other restaurants. You might be driving in circles for a bit. Now for the food, their lemon pepper wings and street corn are my favorite appetizers to get. As for nachos, I had their special that had shrimp and steak with an extra side of cheese.. it was lacking in that department. Other than that service was nice and friendly. Drinks are soo good.
Suuuuper great service from Victoria at the bar! This was our first time at Nacho Daddy so Victoria guided us through the menu. We ordered the supreme tostada nachos and they didn't disappoint. You've gotta come here if you want good food and drinks!!! I give Nacho Daddy an A+
My wife, daughters and son in law had lunch here. My wife and I ordered the filet mignon nacho. It was hard to find the filet in the nachos.
If you are a lover of nachos, this is like heaven lol. I love nachos personally so really wanted to try this place out. The first dish I tried was the Toastada Nachos (I may be butchering this name) and it was really good. A colleague and I attempted to share this dish and it was too much for the both of us. We also tried the lemon pepper wings and I gotta say, it was probably the best lemon pepper wings ive ever tried. If you are thinking of trying this place with some friends but are not in the mood for nachos, I would recommend you get the lemon wings.
Thank you CHASE for doing such a good job serving us with a smile and for all the food recommendations. Thank you FAITH at the front door for the warm friendly bright greeting you are a gem and every establishment needs a welcome like you gave.
Fantastic eatery with a bar. We had a large party of 15 and they still managed to accommodate us since it was a coming home party for my friend returning from deployment. And they made it an awesome experience. The waiters and waitresses were incredibly attentive and the food was absolutely amazing. I ordered the bajan shrimp burrito that has mango pico in it and it's pretty much the best burrito I've ever had from a restaurant.
It's 12:35 on a Wednesday afternoon! I was not expecting such a great time! See Alex at the bar and order the scorpion shot and it's a guaranteed good time! Do it! Lol
It was such a fun time at Nacho daddy. Good food and good crowd too. At Duluth Atlanta GA. love the nachos there it was different from many other nacho dishes.
I really like Nacho Daddy. The road is high quality (for what it is), and the staff is nice. I sat at the bar, and Charlotte was a great bartender and took good care of me. I want to try the street tacos and specials some time.
I go here often the only problem is the wings aren’t consistent. Some days they are great and sometimes.....like these, they are dry and taste burnt. The atmosphere is great just wish they could figure out the wings ?The service is the best in town...which is why I keep coming back.
This is my second time here! This place is pretty tasty ! This time I only got the bourbon peach nachos which were pretty good !
The glitz of the strip, glowing neon and customer precured music videos fills Nacho Daddy with vibrancy and sound, but we're not in Las Vegas, were in Downtown Duluth. Unexpected and welcomed addition to the recently trending Duluth town center, where you can gather to listen to music, drink a margarita, watch the game, and eat a huge plate of nachos. Here's our take on our recent visit. Nacho Daddy isn't just nachos, it has it all. For the appetizer, who doesn't love a good wing? Their Spicy Grilled Lemon Pepper Wings were tender, slightly spicy about medium hot with a smoky, lemon pepper finish. You'd be surprised how well these flavors all go together for a fun bite. With the appetizer we had two specialty margaritas: Pineapple Mint Margarita with a good mix of muddled mint, tequila, pineapple juice, sweet and sour. It wasn't overly sweet and was very similar to a mojito with a Mexican twist. Also, got the Beer-Rita. Take their house margarita and stick an 8 oz Corona in it. Fun. Tasty. The menu at Nacho Daddy was expansive, so we asked for suggestions and landed on the Fajita Nachos to get the best of both the Fajita and the nacho. It has everything except the kitchen sink, tender fajita filet mignon, creamy guacamole, spicy jalapenos, two melted cheeses, queso, seared peppers and onions, and the best topping ever pickled onions. Everything went so well together in a crunch, savory, sweet, spicy melody of flavors. The best part was the pickled onion, it gave it a kick up front that we loved! Our tip would be to get everything you can on one bite: it will be a big bite, but it's the best one! Our second entrée choice was a vegan option: fried avocado tacos. One of our favorite things in the world is fried avocado and we couldn't pass this up. The avocado itself was creamy and deep, with the right amount of beer battered breading. It wasn't too much and didn't overpower it. Topped with salsa that gave it a kick. Also, loved the black beans, which were fresh! Found that if you put the black beans, salsa on the taco itself, it deepens the flavor. Try it that way. Yes, you're thinking, vegan option? Yes, they have a whole page of them! With dinner we had a flight of Nacho Daddy branded beer, the best thing about it, it's local! They scoured the Atlanta area and landed on having Wild Heaven on tap as the owner instantly loved their brewery and people. Example: their Mac Daddy is Ode to Mercy or Wise Blood is Hop Daddy. So, cool they scouted a local beer we love to be on tap! Cheers!\ One of the favorite things about Nacho Daddy is the music videos! They have an iPad and customers can pick an array of songs to play on their screens. While we were there, we saw a large range of songs and even Liz's favorite band STP, as well as everything from OutKast, to The Joy Formidable. It was fun to just sit there, sip on our flight of beer, and watch music videos. We'll be back.
Nachos are truly good. No skimping on real toppings and lesser chips. Draught beer has limited options more of their own 4 varieties on the menu. Good ambience!
Glad you enjoyed the nachos Vahida! We greatly appreciate your feedback and like your mention of a fun time and good food. Looking forward to next time!
Iria, we take great pride our fresh ingredients and quality products so I apologize we didn't exceed your expectations for food and experience. We value our guest satisfaction and hope for the opportunity to welcome you back for a WOW experience.
