Great food & friendly helpful employeesFood: 5/5
I’ve been coming here for years.. the food is terrific I honestly can’t find another chinese restaurant as good!! Kind service Great food
It was nothing special about the food and their price points are to high for the small portions. One and done with this location
Great food! Fast and friendly service!
We usually get the shrimp fried rice and everytime we've had it, except for one(it was warm but you could tell they made it a couple of minutes before we came and let it cool down), it was hot and fresh. I think they're shrimp fried rice is the best, lots of onions, although not as enough shrimp most of time, but you can expect that with most places. Occasionally we may get the broccoli and beef strips and rice meal, and I'd say 3/4 of the times we went the broccoli and beef were freshly made. We'd also get the shrimp lo mien, and for the few times I had it, it was good (occasionally it was not freshly made as the rice, but it usually was).
Great food but it did take a while it get the food. Next time I ca in advance
the food was ok, funny smell...GREAT EGG ROLLS
Had hair in my food, my wings to be exact. It was almost 2 years ago. Haven’t been since
Great tasting food!! Friendly staff.
Bought $48 worth of food, including 3 honey chicken & two sesame chicken! That was my favorite food stop until.....cooked into the coating/sauce of one of the pieces of sesame chicken was a black hair. ???. NEVER EVER AGAIN.
just left this place all the food is horrible, smushy rice, girl behind counter seems to have attitude funny thing is i already read from another person about her... i can tell the food is not fresh.. only reason i went is cause WINGS 2 GO was closed on tabbacco rd EVERYONE GO TO WINGS 2 GO you can taste the freshness and they all treat you like family and patient. the wings are already chinese wings so they are not the best but these wings are DEATH very under cooked and old. i am in between nausause and almost sick to my stomach a waste of 20 plus dollars.. what do you expect its next to a KJs... very cheap ... HERE ONE GOOD THING TO COMPLEMENT MY ONE STAR, I WALKED OUT THIS PLACE AND MADE IT TO MY CAR SAFE. THERE YOU GO A POSITIVE REVIEW.
I have been eating at this same Chinese restaurant for a few years now it is one of the only places I get my Chinese from food is always good and the young lady that always takes my order is always polite and she has great multitasking skills I literally came in to pick up and she cashed me out took and order and picked up the phone and asked them to hold all in one breath oh and the prices are great
The girls that work here are always flirting with someone man. The chicken shack is being rebuilt but it looks like the owner stopped construction in the middle of construction. Dirty plastic bags hanging from the ceiling. The chicken is overcooked and they overcharge you for the small amount of food that they give you. They didn't have on gloves, hair nets, nor masks. The service sucks.
I first ordered from China Wok two years ago. I'm confident it wasn't great then, but I didn't write a review at the time, so I decided to risk it again. A lot can change in two years after all. Alas, I don't think much changed here.Hephzibah is not known for it's cuisine. Whenever I order takeout in this area I know full well it's a gamble. Now I write these reviews so that a year from now when I've forgotten I'll have a reliable source to go by should I be looking for Chinese food in Hephzibah again.I'd like to start by addressing some statements from other reviews that I read before ordering:"I must say this is the best China Wok in Augusta. The food was so delicious"While not technically in Augusta, if you count Grovetown and Hephzibah, this China Wok is one of two China Wok's in the Augusta area. This China Wok ranks solidly in the top two. It is not #1. Whether or not the food is delicious, is debatable, but I'll concede it's probably heavily dependent on what you order and when."The best Chinese food I’ve ever had."I suppose, if it's the only Chinese food you've ever had.You get the point. By now you might be thinking it's all doom and gloom from here on out...but you'd be too quick to judgement. The staff, the young lady at the front, and the family that runs the joint, are polite and friendly. You can order online, which is big brownie points for me, I always like to order takeout ahead of time, and seeing the menu and my order beats out calling in any day.As for the food, I always order the basics first when gauging a restaurant. If you can't fry rice properly I probably don't want to know what your take on Mongolian beef looks like. So we started with fried rice, lo mein, egg rolls, and a handful of appetizers that I generally trust a takeout joint to produce reliably. The fried rice has an odd color too it, almost as if it was fried twice, or I'm imagining things. A bit too much oil, but tasty and certainly edible. 6/10 (It's not bad). The appetizers were alright. Not great, but edible, and I've seen my share of inedible. The eggrolls - too much skin and not enough filling, but still tasty. As for the beef lo mein, the noodles were soft, squishy, and slimy. Flavor? Oddly enough...none. It tasted like noodles, not good noodles, but noodles. The beef was the only saving grace, and save it did not, we ate a bite each and tossed the rest.If I were to order from here again, and I likely won't any time soon, it would be fried rice and eggrolls. The rest of the menu is too iffy.
