I had lunch today and ordered the Caesar salad lunch special with tiger shrimp. The salad was small and made of mostly the stalks, no green romaine lettuce leaves and there were three shrimp. I was charged 25.00.

This was our first time eating at Christian’s. The biggest pro was that the food was delicious, well plated and portions were reasonable. My biggest turn off was the atmosphere. . .when you are paying $350 for 2 people to eat and drink, I expect better attention to detail. Although we made reservations 1 months in advance and arrived 15 minutes before our reservation time, we were seated in the back of the restaurant right between the bathroom and the kitchen when there were plenty of tables available elsewhere. If this wasn’t my first time here, I would have asked for a different table, but I just didn’t realize until we were already settled in. On top of that, there were ceiling tiles missing which isn’t a big deal, unless you are paying premium pricing. Lastly, overall service was acceptable, but we waited much longer than expected for cocktails throughout dinner. Again, no big deal, but I expected more of a premium service experience.

Christian’s is a beautiful setting for a special occasion. The decor is relaxed, cozy, and not cluttered or overdone. I really love how blank space is used to draw your attention to the chosen art. I love the color of the accent walls, something between slate and midnight blue. It creates intimacy. Although situated on a busy road, the light is filtered well with shimmery, gauzy curtains, and you feel more peaceful once you’re inside. The service is kind, but not stuffy, although I personally like to know my server’s name, so that would be one small change that I’d suggest to level up. She did offer recommendations and mention her favorites, which was appreciated! The charcuterie board was tasty, with apricots, figs, raw honey, gherkins, and various delicious cold cuts, but I was a little disappointed in the cheeses, because I eat Cheddar and Brie all the time. Maybe these were very special cheeses, but we didn’t know it, because our board wasn’t explained in depth. The board was generous though, and along with the delicious bread, and the tapenade it came with, was a meal in itself. We chose the surf and turf special and the seafood Thermidor for our entrees. The veggies that came as a side were beautifully presented and tender. I loved the little mushrooms! My husband’s steak was perfect. The seafood Thermidor was creamy and the portion was huge. I tried the pastry hidden below the sauce and the chunky seafood, and it was alright, but I’d already eaten the bread earlier, so I didn’t care for it. Dessert was divine, a chocolate mouse pie. We ate every bite. Decadent and memorable. Overall, I would definitely return to Christian’s but for very special occasions, which this was. It’s pricey, although a good chunk of the bill consisted of cocktails and wine.

Was the bartender at one point, chef Christian owes me money and has yet to pay me for the job I did.

This place is a really nice, upscale vibe. The service took a bit longer than expected, but our server was by herself this night. My only issue is I'm pretty sure the meat on my surf and turf was pot roast. It was delicious, but I really wanted steak.

Was wonderful! Had the escargot and the tuna tartare as an appetizer for entrees I had lamb and my husband has the seafood thermidor. We were stuffed and should have stopped there but shared dessert also. All the food was delicious and well prepared, the service was outstanding and the restaurant had good ambience. Looking forward to our next trip to Macon to enjoy another meal here.

We went for a date night. It was okay. The service and wait times were definitely the worst parts. Not that the waitress wasn’t friendly, she was, but she forgot to bring us more bread when we asked and I ordered a specialty cocktail that she just forgot about all together. The food was mediocre. Not bad but not great. The best dish was the escargot appetizer. The wait for our food took entirely too long. We waited probably 20 minutes for bread when we first got there and a good 50 minutes for our main dishes after we ordered them. The atmosphere was nice. The food wasn’t worth the price. We probably won’t be back.

I called to make a reservation to celebrate an anniversary and the hostess answers answers immediately asking me to hold. I proceeded to hold for 10 minutes. I hung up then called back again and the same hostess answers again but doesn’t ask me to hold this time and says how can I help you. I told her I was just on hold for 10 minutes trying to make a reservation. Her reply was sorry, you called at a busy time. For a hostess to have forgotten about the customer on hold at this type of “fine dining establishment” is ridiculous.Hostess are the first line of contact with the customer and they can gain or lose some much money for the establishment. They definitely lost my money.
