Hole in wall at our table - yuk
Trying to close up whole Time that we were there. We arrived at 8:15 and they close at nine so it was difficult to get anything you needed. I asked for the silverware and the napkins. Given a salad fork for my dinner. Food very mediocre. No lemon flavor in the chicken piccata and the sauce was not very good on the Marcella. No offer of refills. No dessert offered. And had to hunt her down to get the check.

First time back in a couple of decades and not much has changed (for better or worse). The majority of their options were between $10-15 which was a pleasant surprise. The portions were a bit smaller but I didn’t mind. Everything we had was good but nothing out of ordinary. It looked like they mainly rely on the old regulars which isn’t a bad thing.

I mean if I was hungry this was sufficient enough I suppose but if that was my last meal on Death Row, I'd be pissed the F.O.

Tonight I took my daughters and 3 grandchildren to Frankie’s to experience something beyond my Italian cooking. We were so very disappointed. We ordered eggplant parmigiana, veal Francesca (?), chicken parmigiana and a frozen piece of chocolate cake for dessert. The food was tasteless. The sauce (Italians call it gravy) was so bland. Hunts out of a can is probably better. The eggplant was so thin it had no substance. What a waste of $100. Tomorrow I will make eggplant parmigiana to make up for tonight.

Let me finish by saying I’m an 71 year old Italian…from Boston…my father was born in 1917 in the living room of his North End home (look up North End.) He moved to the “country “ aka suburbs. We lived downstairs from my grandparents who barely spoke English. We grew most of our vegetables and grandma (Nonna) canned vegetables for winter. She and my mother were the best cooks in town and we lived near many Italians, most of whom were relatives. By the way, I have not found a decent pizza in Atlanta yet.

There are great ethnic restaurants in Atlanta area. Malaysian, Peruvian, Spanish. Soul food is very good. Try one of them. But for Italian or pizza, visit Boston.

Food just wasn’t very good, very bland and not a lot of flavor! I’d go somewhere else honestly maybe Tuscany in Woodstock idk somewhere else, or cook at home.

Tried this location 3 times. Definitely won't be back. We'll stick to the Canton rd location. All 3 times food was not even hot. Barely warm and the usually delicious rolls were like a rock and burned. My husband pulled a big piece of plastic from his mouth. Baked in tne manicotti. Server said " oh i hope you didn't swallow any" yes that was the response and a "sorry" Wanted to give it that 3rd try but they can't get it right. We're done!

The food was good, and I love Italian food. The only issue we had was although the restaurant has a children’s menu, they didn’t have anything for young children to drink! It was strange. How difficult would it be to have a few packs of juice boxes on hand in the restaurant for children? They also did not offer my three year-old granddaughter any crayons to color with which also struck me as odd because it would be such a simple thing. But the food was really good.

We were sat at 7pm with 2 adults and 2 kids. After waiting for 24+ minutes, the server finally came to us and said “I’ll be with you shortly”. No apologies. After waiting several more minutes, we decided to leave as sitting at an empty table with no drinks or food and no service was too much. We are very disappointed as we’ve been to other Frankie’s and had never had this type of service. Called from the car to let the manager know what happened and he apologized and blamed it on her being new. I expected a lot more from a great restaurant that I’ve been going to for almost 20 years

Had a good meal at Frankie's, Pizza, Stuffed Mushrooms and Tiramisu. I was seated and waited for my server who never arrived, so the person who seated me checked up on me and served me herself. She gets an A, whoever didn't come by gets a big Fail. The pizza is good, the mushrooms were okay and the Tiramisu was also good. I do recommend Frankie's for their Pizza, which is New York style and quite good.

Brought the nephews here tonight. Had the chicken Francese, cheese ravioli with meatballs, and a pepperoni stromboli. All were very tasty and filling. The salad and garlic rolls were also highlights. I usually just get take out pizza from here, but was great to sit down and have an excellent Italian dinner with the family. Aleah provided top notch service. Very attentive, knowledgeable, and a friendly, helpful personality. We should dine-in more often.
