No customer service, unreliable, untrusty, when you are planning a party you want to be able to trust vendors so you have less worries but I have zero trust. No response to emails or phone calls. Avoid stress and don’t order your cakes with them.
This place is awful. Very dry and tasteless cupcakes with very little, flavorless, sugary frosting. Then they top it off with a piece of cookie dough or a pecan or a Reese’s cup that is stale because it has been sitting out for so long. Also, the girl behind the counter didn’t have a mask or gloves on and was scratching her head and playing with her hair and glasses while taking money and making change for other customers and not even washing them before helping the next one. Not only are the cupcakes disgusting, the employees have no hygiene. Stay far away.
Cute little shop on the square. We stopped by around lunch on a Wednesday. The selection was really limited by the time we arrived, so not sure what days are best. We ended up getting 6 cupcakes to go. I got the cookie dough, cheesecake, and lemon raspberry. All were soft. The icing was flavorful on them all without being overwhelmingly sweet. My fav by far was the lemon raspberry. It was so flavorful with just the right amount of lemon flavor. The other two flavors were still yummy cupcakes, but other than the toppings, the cupcakes seemed to just be plain. Still nice, though. We stopped by a pet shop on the square after getting our cupcakes to go. The cashier told us she's vegan, and Miss Mamie's made her a great vegan birthday cake.
Hands down, the place to go to satisfy that sweet tooth. They have such a way of making the deserts so flavorful and beautiful. I love to stop here whenever I'm on the Marietta Square. A must try.
This is my favorite new mom and pop place! My boyfriend and I got there a little before they closed so we got what was left of the pistachio cookies, some cheesecake and a couple cupcakes. The pistachio cookie made me rethink my favorite cookie and I'm a big cookie person.. cupcakes were pretty good too but I'll be back for the cookies!
I recently ordered a small birthday cake yesterday from Miss Mamies. It was one of the prettiest cakes I’ve ever seen when I picked it up. But when we got home and sang happy birthday and cut the cake, it was absolutely disgusting. Hard and dry. The worst cake I’ve ever tasted. VERY VERY DRY. I’m so disappointed because this was for our daughters birthday; it was supposed to be special - and I couldn’t believe how awful it tasted. We cut 3 small pieces (for myself, my husband, and my daughter) and I just couldn’t believe they even sold it to us. We’re basically having to throw away the remaining portion of the cake, which is more than half. A complete waste of money. Having purchased several cakes and cupcakes from other places, I expected it to be elegant and beautiful on the outside (which it was) and also taste great but it’s so dry and tastes odd. I would not recommend this bakery.
Owner or staff (young women) refused to wear a mask and was shouting her "greeting" at me. I could tell something was a bit off about the way she was shouting and kept asking me questions to flaunt how she was not masked. After a minute I realized she was anti-mask and was being aggressive because I was masked. I just walked out without ordering because I don't want to support a place that doesn't even care about the safety of their patrons.

We used to LOVE Miss Mamie's. Our family would get the cupcakes for every birthday. We haven't had them in awhile. Well today we went to grab some cupcakes and on arrival the young lady came out from the back. She did not have a mask on and my mother asked her if she could put one on. She said "no I'm not" then proceeded to serve the cupcakes. The only reason we didn't walk out is because my dad (birthday) really wanted them. As she was asking what we wanted she was speaking over the cupcakes which is a health hazard. Not to mention the cupcakes were SUPER DRY and cardboard tasting. I'm super disappointed in their customer service and the dry bad tasting cupcakes. There are other cake places like piece of cake that are much better. I'm sorry to say, don't buy anything from here.
My sister who is on a fixed income in Massachusetts ordered a cake and cupcakes from Miss Mamie’s bakery. Owning a catering business myself, I know how important it is to deliver good quality for your clients. The cake was absolutely beautiful. But the taste was some of the worst I’ve ever had. I served it at Christmas dinner and threw away more than 3/4 of the cake. The cupcakes were equally as bad and ended up in the garbage too. More than $100 worth of cupcakes and a cake on a fixed income is tough to swallow. I contacted Miss Mamie’s website she never responded. I tried to offer her constructive criticism and let her know how disappointed I was as well as my sister. She has the decorating down pat. But, as far as her baking skills they are terribly lacking. What a shame!
Cute local shop in Marietta Square. Selection was limited at around 4p on a Wednesday before Christmas. But, I grabbed a Guinness cupcake and a s'mores cookie. Cupcake - Very tasty frosting but cake on the dry side; not sure where the Guinness plays in. Cookie - very creative but also kind of dry. Oh man! I will try again on a weekend I think. Maybe week day stock is not as fresh?
Your cookies are the best, soft and delicious, we will be back for more!!
Cute store and so many fun options to choose from! Sadly, the 6 cupcakes I purchased were very dry and unpleasant. The flavors were there, they were just super stale ?.
We walked to store not too long after the reopened from Covid and the cupcakes were great. We just got a couple tonight and both were really dried out. Either they were over cooked or are leftovers from a weekend bake.
Miss Maime’s vegan cupcakes are RIDICULOUSLY good. As in, you may never want a “regular” cupcake again.
