While ordering in drive thru, the employee kept whispering to another employee that she could not understand me, I repeated myself about 4 times. They handed me ice cream in a cup with cherry jelly, I told the employee this is not what I ordered. She let me know they did not have cherry dipping sauce. She could have told me this before she handed me my card with the receipt, and charged me $4 for cherry puree. The employee closed the window while several employees started at me, finally one came to the window and asked what was wrong, they forgot 3 of my cones. Funny thing my family was behind me and ordered cherry dipped cones and received cherry dipped cones. Same service, not a thank you, or have a good day. I will not return.
The day I went was a Saturday afternoon. Not to busy when I arrived, however it got busy. The girl at the counter was new and really needed help. No one would help her. I could tell she was frustrated and overwhelmed. The other customers where being rude and impatient with her. She was trying her best too. I felt so bad for her. Despite her being new she got our order right and remember we wanted our sundaes made once we got our food(so they wouldn't melt while waiting) We got the $4 and $5 lunch deals. Everything was good too. The best I have had from DQ in awhile. Went back a few days later ordered the same thing and it wasn't that great. That's why I'm giving only 3 stars. They need to work on consistency with their food. They need to work on a better training routine for their new people. Because if I had been that girl I would have walked out of there. Almost like the managers set her up to fail. Which I'm glad she kept going and didn't just quit.
Not sure where to begin. 3 employees working..... yet we waited in line for 5 minutes at the speaker. Ok no big deal. So we order. My husband got the royal cheesecake blizzard. I asked if there was still a double fudge cookie dough blizzard was told Yes. Get to the window. While the girl is repeating our order a multitude of things are happening. 1. She doesn't have any idea what kind of blizzard I want. So to make it easy..... I said can you just make cookie dough and use chocolate ice cream. I don't want to be complicated! I'm told Dairy Queen doesn't have chocolate ice cream. Hmm?? Ok however you need to make it. 2. A young man is on the phone at the register at the counter. Trying to attempt I believe a refund. While shouting questions to the other workers who are trying to figure out how to even make a blizzard. I get my blizzard. Next is my husbands. Royal cheesecake.... he gets it because he likes the fruit in the middle. We are pretty sure our metal mixing cups were dirty. As they were picked up off the counter to make the blizzard. Then we hear does anyone know how to make this?? All 3 workers couldn't figure it out. It was a cheesecake blizzard. Again whatever we are easy going. We are staying close by. My husband is eating his blizzard only to begin finding chocolate pieces and peanuts. Clearly this isn't a clean and organized place. Super disappointed in this DQ as it's one of our fav ice cream spots. Unfortunately we will not return. I would suggest training your employees and making sure you have someone who has a clue on customer service and blizzard making on staff!
Slow uncaring staff. To busy joking and talking amongst themselves. Eating candy and leaving wrappers by the register. Cleaning rags laying out by the food and ice cream. Manager seemed to care but had no control over employees. Would visit again and hope it improves.
Horrible! Can't even make a blizzard correctly. Food taste like it's a day old. So don't go at lunch. Everyone in our party that ordered chicken was sick.
