We visited Halyards during a recent family trip and can’t wait to come back. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the food and drinks were superb! We had a party of six and the variety available on the menu guaranteed that something appealed to everyone. The food was fresh and delicious!

Our meal was outstanding. Our waiter was attentive and the service could not have been better. The pimento cheese grits and chocolate mousse were as over the top as the filet! 100 % recommend Halyards for special occasions or an ordinary Saturday night. Time and money WELL SPENT. Thank you to the staff and chef. We will be back very soon.Dietary restrictions: I’m gluten-free.

We celebrated a birthday and it was just wonderful. Chris, our server was perfect. He attentively had our order prepared especially for us since we like to share our filet mignon and the kitchen divided our plate beautifully. Steak cook ti our desire with a truly special butter sauce. Fresh green beans and fingerling potatoes complimented the overall plate. The suggestion of fresh bread with olive oil with balsamic vinegar had us humming with delight. (friendly conversation besides). Elegant , delicious, warm,apple crisp and ice cream dessert for memorable ending. Thank you to all the staff that make the difference!

I had heard a lot of good things about this restaurant so I was eager to try it. First the inside is quite nice and while upscale doesn't overdo it. Tables are close and hearing other people's conversations was a bit annoying. Service was excellent. I ordered the crab soup and it was delicious- you could also tell that there was crab in it ( at some places you wonder). My husband had the wedge salad and according to him it was delicious and he loved the deviled egg on top. It was also very filling which is why I went with the soup. I ordered the flounder on a bed of couscous and veggies with a Peruvian pepper sauce. Fish was perfectly cooked and I really enjoyed it however I did wish there was more of the sauce as it needed it. The yellow fin tuna my husband ordered was perfectly seared and served with diced avocado and yucca fries?- not exactly positive if they were fries or not-but he said they were good. Tuna - he let me have a bite- was cooked perfectly and I loved the diced avocado and the sauce. My husband wanted a bit more sauce and while he thoroughly enjoyed it- he thought it was overpriced compared to other places. It is not my favorite place in Saint Simon's but it is very good and I know I will be returning.

We ate at the bar because we did not have a reservation and seats were available, but this did not change the experience. The bartender was really nice, helpful with the menu and made a great cocktail. I ordered a salad with grilled shrimp added and unfortunately he brought the wrong salad. it took a bit to get his attention but once we did he offered to bring the right salad. the next salad came and still not what I ordered. it was good but not what I ordered. I will go back but I'll make sure they are clear on my order.

Dined here for Valentine's Day and had a wonderful night. Our server was super sweet and all the food was delicious! The carbonara mushroom side was phenomenal! I normally am not a big mushroom fan but these were great, I highly recommend.

As always, the service was exceptionally good. Katie was our server. She was professional, friendly, very competent. There's no possible way the service could have been better. They have a great team. But, for the first time ever, I was disappointed in my food. The preparation of my flounder was fine, but the vegetables were so over-salted I simply couldn't eat them. And because they claim they have started making the dressing for the Caesar salad with soy sauce (to which I am dangerously allergic) I can no longer have it. My wife has enjoyed their filet for years. And it is the only thing she ever gets when we dine at Halyards. But it's now off the menu. And the New York strip simply was not very good and it was smothered in sauce. I hope they get their act together again with the food, because this has been one of our three regular restaurants in the island.
Food was beyond fabulous!! The tuna poke, crab bisque & NY Strip were the BEST we've ever had!!! Our server Derek was professional, respectful, on top of it & fantastic!! (He was raised right!! ??)

Had a 8:30 reservation and was seated at 8:15 the hostess was always keeping us informed.After being seated had a great conversation with our waiter who compared the best wine with our meal which was the New York Strip for two. Everything was cooked perfectly steak the sides.As it being our 50th wedding anniversary wanted to dine at a nice restaurant and we both know we found it at Halyards.Thanks for a great experience.

We have been going to St. Simons for many years, and this was our first time to Halyards...but it won't be our last! Wish we had tried this place years ago...what a great find!

On our first visit 2 years ago, Abby warmly welcomed us. Since then, she's provided many excellent recommendations & top notch service. It's always a pleasure to dine at Halyards!
