Came here years ago on a Friday afternoon but it was closed. Sad. But I came back again years later, determined to try a hidden jewel. The location is outside the city and you would need to drive from the city center. The cafe is to the right of the church, with a glass door that's in-between the restaurant and church building. Staff were friendly. Food varied in quality. The rutabagas had an odd flavor like sugar or a spice in them that I didn't like. Pork chop was good. Okra and tomatoes were more tomatoes and mixed vegetables. I'd go again, but I find the flavors at Sisters of the New South better.

Had the oxtails, red rice, mac and cheese, cabbage, green beans and cornbread. Everything was very good. The ladies behind the counter were very sweet and welcoming. I will make sure I come back again next time I visit Savannah.
