My bill was $13.29 - $12.00 wings, 7% for "Food" and 3.5% for "Credit card". I added a $3.00 tip, so the total should have been $16.29 but I errored and wrote $26.29. I saw my error and called the restaurant the same day (Saturday). It was Thursday before the owner responded by texting me a copy of the receipt that now shows a $13.00 tip instead of the $3.00, so I called her. She told me they have cameras and she saw the waitress change the receipt. However, she had to do that because my credit card (cc) company said that they must make the amounts equal to the total amount that I wrote. When I questioned why my cc company would tell her to modify my receipt, she said that all credit card companies require that the receipts be in balance. I asked if she could refund me the $10 since obviously, I did not leave a $13 tip for a $12.00 order. She said no, because the waitress was paid at the end of the night. I asked her what would happen if I totaled the receipt so that it didn't cover the tip or even the food. She said that the waitress is supposed to check that when she takes the receipt from the customer. So, they check to make sure they are not cheated but if the error in their favor they adjust the receipt and add the overage to their tip. That is not OK! Also, my cc company said they never discuss a client's account with a business, and they would never tell a business to modify a receipt.

I don't understand why there is a dj playing rap in the middle of Gwinnett County on a relaxing evening out for dinner. I could go down to the Cheetah strip club, if I want to hear rap over dinner. I came with my husband during the summer and there was an impressive husband and wife jazz duo playing and their performance was excellent! If they had more music like this, instead of the disruptive rap, I would want to return and tell my friends but unfortunately, as of now, I would prefer a quiet dinner with simple smooth jazz, just light music with my husband.

I came here for a social event with some other professionals. The drinks were good. Our waitress (Tam or Tan) was GREAT! I was really excited to learn that this place was open because I used to come to the spot back when it was a different restaurant. The people with me were from all over the metro area but I live in the school district, and thought this might be a good place to have future gatherings and meetings. The food was nice and there is only 1 reason I’m giving 3 stars. We were on the rooftop having a great convo, having ordered a LOT of food and drinks. The manager comes up with an empty bottle of some sort or liquor waving it in the air like a mad woman and starts screaming to the effect of, “Do not bring alcohol in here! We serve alcohol and it’s disrespectful!” Then she stormed off. Lol!This was a group of high achieving black people, having intelligent conversation, who had drinks from the bar on their tables. The age range was 35-55. It was ridiculous! Also, there were some white patrons downstairs. I wonder if she (a black woman) screamed and delivered the same aggressive monologue to them or if she assumed that because we were black people, that we would bring a bottle of liquor into a restaurant. The Parkview cluster is extremely diverse but it appears that the majority of support for this place is coming from black people. However, it also appears that last night, our patronage is not appreciated. The location is in the shopping center where I do my grocery shopping, where I workout, and where I get my nails done. Perfect location for team sports gatherings, PTA parties, employee celebrations, etc. Unfortunately, things got very strange and I wouldn’t want to invite any group in here.Lastly, in the restroom, I guess they ran out of soap. Instead of putting a new bottle out, someone filled it with water.Update: The owner decided to respond (see below). The other patrons were sitting outside but rather than take responsibility for her lack of emotional intelligence last night, she gave a feeble attempt at a clap back. It’s sad and resembles something like being on the verge of a psychotic break. You expect people to support your foolishness just because they’re the same race?

Let me start by saying Tam is excellent! She’s an asset to this business. My husband and I came in on a Friday night for the first time. The bartender was also great. Appetizer and food was very good. Music was playing when we came in but a little while later a DJ took it to the next level, then the live band! We couldn’t leave! Thanks to the owner stopping by, just an enjoyable evening.

It was our first visit and it didn’t disappoint! The food and appetizers were delicious and our waitress “the new Jess” was great and very attentive!! We will be back for sure :-)

The owner is very rude to patrons who post honest reviews online. Instead of getting upset and "clapping back", consider taking the feedback to improve your business. I won't be dining here.

My colleagues and I came in here to wind down at the end of the week, and the owner came over yelling false claims that we brought an empty bottle of gin into her establishment. Instead of considering one of her employees or another patron put the bottle in the trash, she immediately blamed a group of professional black people, many with doctorates, and tried to berate us. It's a shame the type of treatment we get when trying to support certain black businesses. Don't bother with this one. Just check out the other reviews.

they are in the habit of charging customers for stuff they didn't order and then doubles down when proven wrong! if your business is not doing well then provide better service but trying to argue with customers that they purchase stuff they didn't ain't the move!!!

The food is EXCELLENT, the ambiance is wonderful, and the live band is supreme!!! Y’all need to come support this beautiful establishment. The customer service is wonderful.... come let my girl Tam serve you. She is sooo professional and so are the other servers!

I've read the reviews and to ve honest my experience was totally different. The vibe was on point and so was the food. Very tasty, seasoned well and reasonable. We went on a Wednesday night. They had live music (AL Smith Jam Session) I will be back to check it out on a weekend.

We dropped by for a late dinner and we're very pleased with our experience! I had the pork chop with collards and mash and it was excellent. The breading on the pork chop was fantastic and the greens were worthy of a return visit just by themselves. My wife had the beef tacos and she said they were great as well.I ordered a margarita and she had a lemon drop, both were good. The banana pudding... Dang. This food is soul food. The house band wasn't too loud or soft and added tremendously to the atmosphere of the restaurant. We will be going back. I have to try the lamb chop...

The place is decorated from the $1 store. They actually have bad contact paper on the bar and the cheap stick on siding on the bar base. Behind the bar is also done from maybe $5 and below. The liquer choices were cheap and bad, the food overpriced and nasty. The bartender did not know what she was doing, I asked for a 7&7 and she told me they did not have 7 Crown but she did have Tanqueray. I just ordered wiskey and you offered me Gin. Just plain out dont go

Despite the bad reviews we tried it anyway because it's close to our house and had a nice patio. The food was not good. The upstairs looked like somebody took the old furniture out there basement and put outside. The drinks were trash. It's just a waste of space for such a nice location. Also food was wayyyyyy overpriced. $14 for bland Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. $22 for a Cobb salad. We won't be back.

I went to this place with high hopes. The place looks great. Good location. I was the only person / patron and sat at the bar. I ordered a simple shrimp basket which may or may not still be on the menu. No sauce/marinara. I had to ask for that, napkins, and a drink on 3 separate occasions and was never proactively asked if I needed anything. I had to get the owners attention sitting at the end of the bar on her laptop. No one was behind the bar. It was around 130pm. Though she was very nice to me when we did interact, I'm am baffled at the lack of service I had received being the only patron in the establishment at the time. If this is the service received when it is not busy, I can't imagine the service when it does get busy. I looked at the yelp reviews hoping there was improvements and more positive feedback to try this place again but not seeing it. I really hope this place turns around is welcoming to everyone who walks thru the door and genuinely takes feedback in a constructive capacity. I'd like to see this place succeed.

My husband and I dropped into this gem for the first time and sat at the bar. Our bartender, Pretty, made our experience extremely special. We talked and laughed with her and enjoyed great drinks. We tried the shrimp and fish tacos and the salmon plate. Everything was really good. We will definitely be back in the very near future.
