I love this place. The workers are always so kind and available when I have questions. They made pastries for my son's birthday which I ordered about 5 days in advance. The pastries are always fresh. It's definitely one of my top go-to bakeries here in Honolulu.

Great pastries! The cream cheese pastry was delicious! Red bean is good too!

The baked goods are phenomenal! And really that's all the main reason to go to a bakery. But the service here is also very friendly and accommodating! Downsides: store is very compact and often runs out of items by mid-day, but this should not deter you from this gem! Must visit in Ala Moana center!Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible level entry on ground floor of mall.

Just to be clear. This Brug Bakery is at the lower level facing the parking lot. This is different from the other one being inside of Lanai Food Court. Again, this smaller Brug Bakery with a storefront had less stuff at 5pm. I was very disappointed as most of stuff were sold out. I had to tell my driver friend to circle his car again as I needed to go upstairs to get some buns as snacks on my flight.

I stopped into the shop lower level for coffee. It was 5:45 pm Sunday. They were ready to close! The Mall closes at 6:00! They ceased serving coffee!! Hey, this is the Aloha State!! The Japanese are known for their hospitality n graciousness!!! I guess, they, the bakery, feel they are the exception!!! Auwe!!!

Yum! One of my favorite bakeries in Ala Moana, serving up fresh and tasty Japanese pastries and breads. They also have rotating specials. My usual favorites are any of their danishes, their curry bread, and the potato croquette. I had the cutest little seal bread filled with lillikoi curd, perfectly pillowy bread and slightly tart filling. So good!

Carb Lovers Rejoice! Surely you will find something delicious here to satisfy your cravings. Favorite items are the iconic Shokupan Bread (so soft and pillowy) to make sandwiches at home and the Curry pan. Pepperoni Foccacia was tasty too. We brought it home to slightly crisp and heat up before eating. Yummmmm! Really nice and convenient spot to drop by when you're at Ala Moana. Service is usually polite and professional. Ambiance is small, but had a homey bakery feel.

Love Brug. They have a good assortment of different baked bread items. Right now they have strawberries from Japan! My personal favorites are the Kalbi Dog, Custard pie, and Neko pan. - Minister

5 STARS for the products. ZERO stars for service. I am appalled. I was at the Brug on the street level - mauka side of Ala Moana on October 7. The young male on the right side register asking to help people paying cash was unbelievably rude. He was so condescending to an older gentleman and after the man left, he walked around and made fun of the man for the language barrier. As if to put on a show. The other male on the other register wasn't as obvious, he tried not to engage so eagerly. But still... they definitely ridicule and make fun of the customers. Sad!!
