I had a teriyaki beef steak sandwich with cheese. It was pretty satisfying. Based on that sandwich alone, I would return and try some of their other offerings. Take out only, no tables or benches onsite.
Update 9/2025: I was able to come back and try the loco moco. On the whole it was barely below average -- the meal itself was okay but the hamburger patty was a bit tough and the rice was very gummy. A pretty off-putting texture. That was a shame because the gravy was next-level ono. I hesitate to try any more of the plate lunches because of the rice texture, but I would come back and try more of their sandwiches and their desserts in their market.

The food is very good. I ordered teriyaki chicken sandwich and lilikoi cheesecake from the market. This is a takeout place. No chairs, tables, or restroom. Order food from here before going to the beach or after hiking Diamond Head.

This is a walk up window place. No seating, except for a bus bench around the corner... Service was great. Friendly, patient, helpful with questions... Reason to go is definitely the food, especially if you want great Hawaiian plates. I had the surf and turf plate. Grilled ahi tuna, garlic shrimp, char siu pork, teriyaki chicken, teriyaki beef. Served with brown rice and salad. I shared the plate. Lots of food. Everything was incredible. Perfect marinade. Very moist and tasty. I wouldn't order the plantation tea. Tasted like lavender... After eating at the grill, stop by the market next door. Great variety of bakery items.

I’ve never been here before but my brother said the food good and he knows the owner from our hometown in Waipahu. I didn’t know I was going spend over $100 total. But it was worth it. Got 5 mixed plates and over $30 worth of deserts. The blueberry scone was so big, can feed 3 people. And the pumpkin crunch was so ono I never like share. The plate lunch had so much meat I could eat for days. And the people that work there were nice, friendly and making us laugh about the deserts. Mahalo Diamond Grill for the awesome food and hospitality.
Grill is still closed for breakfast and they don’t mention it at all on their website or on Google. The grills hours have been inconsistent for years, and they don’t give customers warning. Get it together.
Delicious and fair priced bakery goods. Our favorite is their blue berry crème cheese scones. We also picked up a ganache chocolate cake. They also have fresh flower leis available for purchase.

Always get the kalbi plate and salmon salad. Love the salad dressing. Plantation ice tea on point love it. This is one of my go to places. They have an indoor market with sweets, salads and a full bakery. Awesome place.
