The reviews weren't bad so I went there with my parents... not recommended. The food taste is okay, but the hangover soup and sundae soup are really bad. At least the soft tofu and kimchi stew were okay. However, when paying after the meal, the owner coolly said, 'I tipped 20%!' In this one word... ha...

Specifically came here to eat the pork wrap with oysters but they did not tell me they don’t have oysters anymore but still charged me full price. They said they put more meat but that’s not the point. It’s not the same and the meat was very chewy and hard. It tasted like they microwaved it. I told them, they should’ve told me before I ordered and they said customers should already know. They said, hawaii banned oysters. Huh? Over priced and I got food poisoning both times I came here.

I visited here 7 years ago on a prenatal trip and visited again yesterday with my children. The soybean paste stew was especially delicious, and I enjoyed the monkfish stew, which is hard to find in Canada.

Our go to spot for authentic Korean food! Best prices and the ladies are always nice. The parking could be a little tight but never had any issues...just go a little early when they are not too busy.

The worst Korean food ever! Restaurant smelled like stinky bathroom and that was first red flag. Food tasted absolutely terrible and don't understand why would anybody eat here. If you are looking for korean food in Honolulu please avoid this place.

Little hole in the wall Kean restaurant on Kalākaua has parking in the back. If great, authentic Korean food is more important than photo friendly aesthetics, then this it's must go to! Best Black Goat Soup & my new must have Braised Butterfish. Staff are incredibly friendly and extremely helpful! (They recommended the Butterfish! Lol) Don't judge a book by its cover (or name in this case), but by the amazing food that they serve you!

You want to eat authentic chonggukjang(rich soybean paste stew) without the strong odor but most rich flavor then this is it! The best!

Good food. Only frogs i saw were to decorate the front of the menu. As a frog enthusiast, i was let down.

this review is for the 'combination' lunch plate, which is $20 cash for a mix of chicken, sliced beef, beef rib, and accompanying rice and vege sides. i placed the pickup order on the phone, pretty standard, uninterested asian lady says "ok, 10-15 minute." it seems easy to get to on the phone maps but i have to do a cirque du soleil of u-turns to get to this place. whatevas, i park. lil strip is grimey af. walk in to a lady spooning sides onto a tray of dishes, it appears there is no one in the restaurant. u look straight into the unmanned kitchen, it's a bit skeevers, nothing cooking. the lady turns to me and says hi, i say i am picking up. she repeats my order to me and says it's $20. I ask, $20 even?, knowing it should be like $19 and change. She nods, looking at me askance, and it is just liek some noir transaction i feel almost like i am doing something illegal, i slip her the $20, she hands me the goods, and I get back in my car, observing that the catty bus stop is being accosted by cops for some homeless person had started spray painting silver metallic the little roof over the bench. when i get home i unpack this food and.. long story short, some of the sides were good but i would not trust their meats, if that isn't wut sheesh'd

I don't know why I didn't try here sooner cuz it's the best kalbi and bulgogi in this area! The banchan included steamed eggs which were really my fave as a kid and it was soooo good.
