They are short staffed so waiter will take a long time to come back to your table. For faster service, wave your hand and yell out to waiter. We got faster service by yelling to get their attention and waving our hands. Food was amazing. Ran out of rice quick. Very beautiful and nice area. Don't be shy to yell out to get their attention for more food or water! Great experience other than that!4 of us came out to $128.

Delicious and quick K bbq! Waiters were nice and informative! They were quick to change out the grill, refills, and asking how everything was! Great portion sizes and the dinner price was typical!Everything tasted amazing!

Came here with my friend, when they sat us on our table it was still greasy and if you placed your hand/arm on the table it left an outline, the grill had so much caked on grease, grim and food. The plates were dirty, as well as the chopsticks and the scissors for cutting. Our scissors had left over food on it and looked absolutely disgusting, when we tried to call our sever over she kept walking past our table paying no mind to us whatsoever and we almost had to yell and wave our arms to have her come to our table. They didn't give us any new plates or chopsticks or scissors. They just gave it a quick rinse and gave it back to us wet. The food itself was ok... They didn't give our sauces for the meats till we were almost done, and our sauces had food or something else floating in it, and we didn't even want to try it. Didn't even stay there for 30 mins. I highly DO NOT recommend going here.

They were out of Kimchi and the soda machine was down when we dined. The service was very poor from our waiter. We had to wait for a long time for water etc. The food was OK, I’d say it’s one of the poorest KBBQs I’ve been to, but at the end of the day I still got to eat plenty of meat and ssamjang, so it’s not that bad lol.

I was visiting from kauai with my family and a family member from the mainland. I walked in to be put on the wait list and there's just a sign that says scan the qr code, which is fine, but still not greeted by any employee who walked by. Reasonable wait of 20 minutes. We get taken back to our seat, which they were all ripped up and snagged our bottoms trying to scooch in. Again no menu, a qr code, which is fine. As we are still scooching to sit, the host comes and asks what 4 meats we want to begin with. We were clearly getting settled and had not yet even opened the menu. She didn't greet, ask had we been here, explain how it works, nothing. I asked for a few minutes to settle and look at the menu. Maybe 90 seconds go by and she's back. I had my menu open, but my other 4 guests were still getting there. ( we had a 5 month old with us, which we do not recommend bringing babies) so she again is like what 4 meats? I asked so are they the same price, how does this work. She barely explains, and so I just choose 2 meats because we were feeling super rushed. She put them in and said our server will continue soon. So he comes over soon after, and immediately turns on the burner, no warning. Again, 5 month old squirming around, he didn't say hey im going to turn on fire or anything. I was like woahh there buddy.! I said sir we have no idea how this works, we were rushed and menu was not explained at all. He explains it much better than old girl does and we come to an agreement that this is not a place we wanted to eat. I was unaware that we had to pay for any left overs. Which is fine, to each their own. Just not my jam. Spoke to a manager, who seemed to take our concern seriously and was very sweet while listening to myself and my cousin explain. I will not be returning. For being at the center of a tourist attraction, I would have expected the service to be on point. We would have loved to try, but the first impression was absolutely terrible.

Honestly not the highest quality meats but it’s reasonably priced for “all you can eat”. Seafood is not good. Stick with the beef, pork and chicken ???. I like the garlic chicken. Solid beer selection and the ice cream is actually delicious!I love the coffee and vanilla I cream sandwiches.

Would have loved to eat here and we were all excited but we just sat there waiting while employees saw us and no one came over to see us so after a while we just left.

The food was great, but the service was slow, and the restaurant wasn't even full. Ordered a pitcher of beer, and it took 15 minutes to get it. It's a fun place because you cook your own food. But after cooking your food, then waiting for more, they usually change that grill thing, but they didn't, and I had to turn off the heat because the grill was smoking. We had a group of 8 and had 3 servers. So I don't know why this kept happening. I've been there many times, and this is the first time I have experienced bad service. Like I said, the food is good, and I will go back, but if I see the same servers, I will either ask for another area or leave. It's a big restaurant so I should have any problems. Little pricey, so I should experience that kind of service again. There was no explanation from any of the servers why this happened.

First time eating at Gen BBQ Ala Moana and wow! The service all around was exceptional ...our server, Troy, was absolutely attentive and changed out our grill 3 times and kept checking on us to see if we needed anything else. Two of the floor managers even came to show us how to cook and eat the ox large intestine and even showed us by cutting it all up for us. Bus boy came with a huge smile to collect dishes and even told us a joke. There was really good vibe by all the employees at this restaurant. Bravo to all the great service by all! There were over 30 types of proteins like beef, pork, chicken, squid, shrimp, along with popcorn chicken, fried calamari rings, japchae noodles, rice cakes, tofu soup, banchai, and for dessert--hodeck...round fried sweet mochi pancake with a sweet but not overly sweet cinnamony peanut liquid filling. It was very good. Our favorite was the sweet soy honey beef belly, kalbi ribs, ox intestine, and premium steak. Everything was pretty tasty with some items better than others. Definitely a huge selection than Sikdorak bbq for same price. We arrived at 4:40pm and was seated right away without any wait time. Everyone working at the restaurant was friendly, helpful, and all had a great smile on their faces.
