The cakes here are very pretty. I love that they have a durian flavored one. I wanted to get a whole cake but they only had it cut up. I bought the whole cake anyways but they charged me as if I bought each individual slice. I was a bit annoyed that they made me pay for the box to hold all the slices of cake after I spent over $100 there. The crepe cakes tasted like a pile of whipped cream but that's not on them as that's what a crepe cake mostly is. I knew what I was getting into but it was fun to try. I only gave them three stars because the customer service was not that great, they made me pay for the individual slices for the box, and it was hard to find parking. The cakes are fun and cute though.

Always knew about Miss Chen's Cake...never knew they'd be leaving us! I do seriously have a love hate relationship with 808 Center as the parking struggle is real though on this particular day I just happened to find a street parking and decided to jump in. I was in need to use the bathroom though here you need a code and went to Miss Chen's and the sweet guy kindly gave me the code without issues. Really wanting to thank him for relieving me of my predicament I decided to pick up their crepe cake and tip to thank him, it was Oreo for me as I always see matcha, ube so I decided to go outside my oblong box and boy I'm so glad I did!! This cookies and cream crepe cake is the most beautiful perfectly insanely layered piece of heaven. So light and fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness you'll never know or feel like you just ate some loads of calories. Sadly Miss Chen's Cake is closing but I'm so glad that somehow something has guided me to enjoy this moment before that day has come, I do wish the staff all the best to their next chapter. Thank you!

Nah, probably the worst crepe cakes I've had. I've had my fair share of crepe cakes. A good piece of crepe cake should use high quality cream so it's as light as possible, has subtle flavors so it doesn't overpower the delicate texture, and comes w/ the right texture of crepes. You should be able to eat a whole slice without feeling heavy or weighed down. The crepe cakes from here use overly dry crepes, low quality cream, and artificially tasting flavors. I feel like I'm chewing thin papers w/ some $1 a jar heavy cream you get from the gas station. In addition, the coffee one has a weird grainy texture which is very unappetizing.

Miss Chen's is a cute little place! I brought my sister there with me to try their crepes since they had more options than mango-mango. Their crepes tasted really good & so did their honey green tea! The only reason I gave it a four star review rather than a five star, was that the environment inside didn't feel welcoming at all. Though the environment felt tense, I would still go back to try their other crepe flavors!

Passion fruit tea, kinako&Ube Millefeuille we’re just dying for? Highly recommend to go try out their super yummy cakes!!!!!

Delicious Crepe Cakes. If you've never had you must go here immediately lol. But really they are that good and they have lots of different flavors/selections. If you've had them in NYC this place is very similar!

Miss Chen's Cake made our Mom's birthday celebration not only more delicious, but more FUN! I ordered the Matcha Lava Cake and it was both amazingly tasty and an EXPERIENCE! We all loved it and it was wrapped so beautifully which made it even more special. Everyone asked where I got this cake and I know I will be going back for the next special occasion! Customer service was spot on and I can't wait to taste more of their cakes and treats!!!! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!!!! Mahalo Miss Chen!!!

I picked up a variety of crepe cakes consisting of ube, matcha, Oreo, durian, caramel coffee, strawberry and a few others. I think I might've gotten a bad batch on a few of the flavors. The ube and matcha just didn't taste right. The matcha was edible but not quite right. The ube tasted like food coloring and was very bitter. The sause that goes with it was wonderful but together it was confusing. All of the cakes were well made, great consistency and light. I would buy them again because I think it might just been an off day for the ube. Overall I'd recommend trying Miss Chen's out but get a couple different flavors just in case.

This cute and tiny shop is hidden from street view but Google maps was spot on in finding it! I really wanted to try it since the crepe cake article came out in the paper and to be honest, I think others had the same idea because 70% of their cakes were sold out. So, I didn't have much of a selection to choose from--therein lies the problem. Maybe I picked the wrong ones? From what was left, I tried the cookies and cream and the black tea cakes. Sorry, Andrew Zimmerman scared me away from trying the durian, plus, I didn't want to spend $7 on a gamble. Off the top, I liked that the cakes weren't overly sweet and they were very light and not super filling. The Oreo cake had a mild Oreo taste and the black tea cake was more cream tasting and a little too mild for me--I was hoping for more milk tea flavor. Overall, they were okay and I'm glad I tried it, but if offered to me for free, I would have to say "no thank you," next time around. What I really wanted to try was the strawberry, mango or the salted caramel crepe cakes. Maybe one of those would make me a true believer? Maybe I should go back? But, then again, maybe the taste is a little too delicate for me? After all, I'm more of a lemon crunch cake kinda girl.

We've actually purchased desserts from here before. My apologies for not reviewing this lovely bakery sooner. A couple of years ago, we ordered a kinako flavored birthday cake. It "wowed" everyone that got to enjoy it that night :) Such a special treat for a special occasion! Worth every pretty penny too! While there are only a few other bakeries that make the crepe cake on island, this one specializes in Durian flavor. Now, I know there's a few of you like Ray L. scratching their head about this flavor, but trust me, you'll like this :) For an easy $7 a slice, give the durian crepe cake a try. Each delicate layer has been placed with careful precision. This is light and fluffy, not too sweet, and oh so delicious. The matcha crepe cake slice was equally enjoyable. Thank you Miss Chen's for taking the time to make this delicate cake and making it available in an easy location with free parking :)
Ube mille crepe cake was super light and ube flavor was prominent. I finished it too fast! The other flavors of mille crepe cake like black sesame, durian, and kinako were such a great local twist on this dessert which I was reaaaaalllly tempted to get alongside my ube and I regret that I didn't. Oh well, that means I'll be back to try more!!!

Located on the floor level of the 808 Center on Sheridan Street, miss Chen's Cake serves beautifully photogenic desserts. It was easy to stop by and pick up a variety of their crepe cake slices and lava cake. I have been eagerly wanting to try their crepe cakes due to the impressive amount of layers and craft it takes to make them! Out of the Ube, salted caramel coffee, and Oreo flavors, I most enjoyed the Oreo due to its balance of saltiness and cookie. The texture wasn't exactly how I imagined since the crepe layers are very thin and almost too much so to stand against the whipped cream filling. I didn't try the chocolate lava cake since I was so full but it's a show stopper when you remove the plastic lining and the topping slowly folds over to engulf the cake. Overall I don't think I prefer crepe cakes over actual cake due to the texture (I love the sponginess). But it's definitely worth trying and a very well presented treat!

Lots of crepe cakes here with a variety of flavors. Some of the flavors are pretty good - like durian and matcha and tiramisu. Some other flavors - chocolate, Ube, strawberry, black sesame, milk tea.The two workers there were really helpful for us in helping us pick which cakes we wanted. We got the lava cake, and 10 crepe cakes which we were able to combine in a platter for a slight discount too (see picture). There is parking behind this plaza, or on local streets.

Good looking pastries. Asked about some tarts. Dude behind the counter was a bit of an a-hole..."well do you want it or not?" There was no one else in the store. Got the tarts and left. I'd like to go back and try some other pastries, but I'm afraid I'll interupt his k-pop video time.

Ordered a special New Year's Day cake! It was super good and cute. I liked how you could customize to whatever you wanted and they made a large cake for you. Great option for a party or celebration.
