Good mixed menu with a very reasonably priced combo meal.

Their two entree combo is such a bargain, and has tons of options you can choose from. The shoyu meatball was very tasty and unique, and with such a varied menu theres something for everyone.

They also have a drive-through, and the food is prepared very quickly.

Last time I ordered from Richie’s was pre-covid. My husband likes their beef cutlet so we went and I got something (i can’t remember what it was) but I wasn’t impressed with my plate. My husband enjoyed his.

Fast forward to today in 2024. Their menu changed, no longer have beef cutlet it has been replaced with pork cutlet. I order that for my husband with gravy all over. My son picks out a mixed plate with pork adobo/mushroom chicken and adds a double cheeseburger. I pick out a mixed plate of turkey tail adobo/boneless chicken (it’s chicken cutlet w/gravy).

Our plates averaged $12-13 each, the burger was $5.50. Very nice price point and the amount of food will satisfy just about anyone. Everything tasted good, what I especially liked is that the coating on the pork and chicken was nice and thick, full of flavor. When I tasted my son’s mushroom chicken, I asked him if there was a bed of stuffing underneath. I literally thought I got some stuffing with my chicken. I sat down to eat my plate and the same thing with my chicken, delicious.

The staff was very friendly and happy, it felt like a family atmosphere in there. They were patient answering my questions.

They certainly upped their game and I will be looking forward to going back for more.

Parking: Handicap parking available, when busy it may be hard to leave because the drive through patrons line up theough the parking lot.

I have been a long long time customer until the beginning of this year when everything went down hill. Tonight I gave them a chance to redeem me as a customer, but they failed drastically. I ordered the best tong they use to have, the boneless chicken with gravy on the side. Before the rice and mac salad would cover more then half the plate and 2 and a half BIG pieces of chicken. Tonight the chicken had 3 small pieces which was the size of the old half piece and the rice and mac salad covered only one yours of the plate. Half the size of the old Richies. Terrible and then the gravy they gave wasn't enough to dip all the chicken. And they charge extra for gravy on the side. Plus it was so watery. Total cost was over $13 for the one plate and I will never return. And That's why the place was empty and not like the old Richieswhich had long lines inside and out. Now no one in the lines. Don't waste your tone and money......

Good food. Reasonably priced. Update 8/27/2024. Food has gone downhill. I ordered combo and the fish was burnt and Teri beef was hard and dry. I won't be coming back.

If you're craving a hearty loco moco, Richie's might just be your spot! About 15 mins. walk from the Bishop Museum, Richie's Drive Inn has a low-key diner vibe that almost reminded me of that one episode of the Sandman (with much better lighting). Their interior may be underwhelming, but their breaded pork chop loco moco is absolutely something I didn't know I needed. Their mushroom gravy is dangerously good (though it might be too savory/flavorful for some taste buds) and totally hit the spot! Their pork belly adobo is also decent.

Parking: Drive through also available.

Well, we were the only ones there. It was about 2 pm, after the lunch crowd, but there were drive-thru customers. The shoyu chicken was so tender and tasted so delicious! The rice was soft, just how I like it. The Mac salad was not that good, so I just took a few bits of it. Even if we ate in the drive-in, there was a pesky fly trying to land on our food, and that was annoying. There were boxes stacked on the side of the diner. The server was pleasant and we got our food quickly.

I ate lunch with a good friend of mine. We ate the mini curry. The curry is more on the sweet than spicy side. I think the drive -thru is a definite plus.
