I had their minute chicken cake noodle. Probably the best iteration of the dish I’ve had in Hawaii: delicious sauce, tender chicken, and superb quality noodles. However, the prices of their menu seem to change based on the cashier of the day. Kinda sketch.

Wonderful down to earth restaurant, with incredible food, and excellentservice! The portions were huge and the prices were extremely reasonable.I lucked out finding this place on my last trip to Hawaii. I plan to go back there on my 6th trip to the Islands in late May. My visit was in Sept, but I believe I had chicken with black bean sauce. Best wishes to this wonderful restaurant! Greeting from NYC and The Bronx.

We came here before and ordered duck and etc.But this time the waitress was soooo rude and change your bill from time to time. She didnt give you receipt just a number on a piece of paper. Then we ask how did you calculate this? Then she found she calculated wrong.and also didnt tell us about the policy they add 2 $ to each dish.Ok fine ,we know this after we finish the food. But last time when we came there is no such policy .Then we ask how about the rice?It is on the menu 1.75 $for each small bowl. She said 2 $ .Then why didnt you put 2 on the menu. And the waitress got mad suddenly and raises her voice .Then how much really in total? We are so confused. We were thinking to use the credit card but then decide to pay cash because who knows how you change the bill and do some disgusting tricks on it .The way you treat your customers will lead your customers go to other restaurant.Actually I recommended friends to try Lam‘s kitchen which is honest and with delicious food just across the street.I was thinking to introduce our friend to try this one ,but after this,uh uh…..no,we won’t tell any of our friends because we dont want them to experience this.

Good food- I ordered the sauteed seafood with veggies ( the only veggies were carrots and celery but still tasty) and some delicious char sui fried rice (I also ordered Chinese chicken salad but they were out.)BUT (and this is a big but) if you decide to come here I recommend that you only order takeout, don't eat in. The place is run by an elderly couple, the man is the only cook and does a great job managing that, but the woman dealing with customers ( I assume his wife) is really overwhelmed. They could use another person. This was my first time here so maybe they normally do and somebody called in sick.I had to wait forever for my check and on top of it I was overcharged a couple bucks. However I was so desperate to get out after the long wait I just paid it and left.(But the food was good...(

We went here just looking for a quick meal and boy were we surprised. The amount of food we got was incredible for the price! The soy duck was probably enough for both of us, but we also got rice and the honey walnut shrimp. It was probably more food than we needed, but it was so good that we ate it all anyway! I was surprised we were the only ones there when we went because it was a great place to eat.

I had a chance to eat here today. Saw several great reviews from yelp friends. I just wanted noodles so I ordered harm ha ung choi minute chicken crispy noodles. Used to eat that with my dad. Let's see how it is hereShe nodded her head but brought me minute chicken crispy noodles . Oh well. It's half right. Oh, ok... then she brought me harm ha ung choi...now I have both. They are both delicious! I just mix it on my plate. It was relatively quiet when I arrived but once a few tables filled up, wow was it noisy! Server was really nice. She realized after a while that I wanted a combination. Portions are generous. She brought me take out containers and helped be pack my leftovers. I'd eat here again.

This place is one of the best Chinese restaurant in Waikiki. It’s just 20 mins from the beach and it’s worth checking it out. I would highly recommend to get the black pepper ?, it’s bomb!

My co-worker took us to lunch here, and I really enjoyed the food. It is a hole in the wall on Maunakea Street, but the food is delicious! There are about eight tables, and there is air conditioning (which was great since it was a hot day and we had walked over from our office). They have certain items that are not on the menu that need to be pre-ordered a day in advance, such as the stuffed boneless duck, which is soooo good! We also ate their honey rib BBQ ribs, char sui with taro, beef with Chinese broccoli, chicken and choi sum, and noodles. The portions were large, so we brought back leftovers. Service was a little slow, but the food was so good. I would definitely return to this little restaurant! (No pictures since we dug into the food as soon as they arrived! Sorry!)

Good tasty food, a bit too salty. Poor service, overworked, short staffed. Only 2 trying to keep up with the tables and take out as well as the phone orders. No parking, street or municipal lots are your best bet. Looking at the food coming out for the other tables, it all looked good.

Yong's kitchen on Maunakea was previously another Chinese restaurant I think Oriental Cafe which we use to on occasion eat at. Then we heard that Yong's cook came from another Chinese restaurant that we frequently visit so we wanted to try this place to see if the food was just as good..well we ordered oyster sauce chicken chow Mein and Soy Duck, both dishes were delicious! Restaurant started getting busy and with only 2 servers, service was slow. We also went there the previous week and with Chinese New Years festivities going on although restaurant was not all full they turn us away and locked the door because the server said they couldn't keep up! My advice is to hire more workers or they're going to lose business.

Best restaurant in the island in my opinion. The food taste just like what they are in China. The volume of food is also big enough. The price is also pretty reasonable.
