Stopped here on St. Patrick's Day for lunch after hitting the beach in the morning. Found it by looking up places quick on Google. Had a decent menu and all of our food was good. Was only one waitress in the place - and she did a good job handling how busy it was. Worth a stop by if you are in the area.

Nice atmosphere with good service. The food was good but the kitchen could have done better at getting the 5 orders out closer together. Three came out at once and the other two dribbled in making an eating disconnect. Variety of choices both food and drink. Ate outside as it was a gorgeous day and we are in Hawaii.

This is the quintessential dive bar - in all the good ways. The food was good and the atmosphere was fantastic. And best of all, the waitress, Lillian, was the highlight. It was my birthday and she hunted down candles and was genuinely excited to “do something fun” for my birthday. She was attentive, enthusiastic, and a joy. They ran out of forks when we were there - thankfully we were all having burger and handheld entrees. So deciding who would get the one fork only added to the charm. Highly recommend after a day at the beach.

...despite the food being pretty good - made to feel that way from both the intoxicated owner and the slightly erratic, somewhat inappropriate waitress. I did have my mask off (bad me) in this way crowded, marginally nice-looking local place when I walked in. I was waiting by the register for someone to say something to me (for a while), and that waitress finally did by barking something about my mask being off (in a large room of mask-less people and without even looking at me) while passing by. That owner pulled himself away from his table to be involved and started telling me all kinds of things: waitresses can do whatever they want here, his problems getting food supplies, a clear hatred of the two other Shacks in Mililani and Hawaii Kai. To a certain but I don't know extent, alcohol is certainly a component of managing this place. Whatever, I was seated waiting on my friend Gee who of course ran into someone on the way in and was doing some kind of deal. Gee was taking a while, and I ordered some fries to wait him out. They were crisp and good. When Gee finally arrived, I ordered a club sandwich and he got a local kalbi/Chinese chicken plate with the 2 scoops of rice and 1 mac salad thing going on. He ordered huge because I was paying, and local boys like him always order kalbi when someone else picks-up the tab - like I'm an ATM or something. That waitress was always popping by sitting down next to me or Gee and hugging us and just being like she knows us. I don't know; I keep thinking of that Progressive Insurance TV commercial where Dr Rick is telling people that they don't need to know their waiter's name. So I like I said: the food is good here. My sandwich was fresh and tasty, and Gee slammed the side salad that came with it. He was also way into his big plate too eating the kalbi with his hands and scooping the rice and mac salad on the meat - it was all kind of gory and primal. You know whatever he does he does. I guess he was flirting with the girl. Their size differences would be something else. Overly all too familiar for me. Anyway, I over-tipped her for some reason I don't know why. I remember leaving thinking no reason to come back here. If there ain't professional, sober management on the floor not just letting staff do whatever they want, probably things aren't too tight in the kitchen either.

Pecan tart was soooo good! The owner was very nice too! I ordered online, and pick up at the shop. I'll definitely come back again soon:)

I had the Lilikoi Tarts for Mother's Day. What a treat! First of all, as I brought it to my mouth I could already smell the tantalizing tang of the tart. Then I bit into it, and the lilikoi flavor burst onto my tongue. The chocolate tempers the tartness of the lilikoi and the combination results in delicious-ness.

Okay, if you have not tried this little bakery- you really must! I don't eat out much but I have been trying to support our small local businesses during this time. One Love bakery is next to the shack on Keolu drive. I bought the chocolate lilikoi tarts and macadamia nut tarts. Both were delicious with the perfect amount of sweetness. You have to order online and then pick up during the COVID shut down. You could also probably call in an order. Be patient if the website is confusing- it was for me but persist because you won't be disappointed!

We arrived a little later in the evening to this obviously popular spot as evidenced by the full house. Our party of four was seated right away and our drink orders were quickly taken. This is a pub-food place and our burgers were great! My wife had fish and chips, however, and it came with no tartar sauce. When she asked our server (Schwing) about the tartar sauce, they had just run out. My wife just decided to eat the fish au natural yet a few minutes later, Schwing appeared with a dish of tartar sauce... Turns out she's talented in the kitchen and had gone back and made the sauce from scratch so my wife would not have to go without!! Are you kidding me?? So overly impressed with this above and beyond service!! Kudos to Schwing and The Shack!! P.S. Schwing is her nickname; you'll have to go and find out her real name in person!!

Quite comfortable this January evening on the patio. Wings were excellent, small Chinese chicken salad was enough to share, beef and chicken burgers were fine. Service slow.... had to ask for most things unfortunately.

My wife read the yelp review for this bake shop. Coincidently the review was made by Donna O one of my friends on Yelp. We tried two flavors of their scones. Let me say my wife is the scone aficionado I usually pass on scones. We had the blueberry orange and the cocnut pineapple scones. Both deserve a thumbs up. Next we tried the almond short bread cookie. It looked like a regular short bread cookie but the almond flavor stood out like a good Chinese almond cookie. Lastly we tried the peanut butter chocolate square not sure what they called it. This is definitely a winner. The baker/owner Shannon Ssid this was her moms recipe. Today is a day they are normally closed but being the holidays they were open.

A great place to eat and have a beer in a small Hawaiian town! We visit the Shack in Littleton, Co and had to visit the same in a Hawaii. Same great service, great food and great atmosphere! The burgers and fries are delicious.

We stumbled across this place when getting off the highway to the north shore. We were looking for a late breakfast and spotted a Starbucks across the road, but noticed how great it smelled and how crowed it was at The Shack. We discovered we forgot about the time change from the main land when we saw all the various NFL games on. So we went with the flow and ordered a pitcher of beer... :) I had the Philly Cheesesteak. AMAZINGLY TASTY. Others had Club Sandwiches. All of us really enjoyed the food.

Typical sounds of a pub. Chatter from dinners. Lots of TVs. Service was good and friendly. Not speedy, but certainly not slow. Delicious eats and drinks.

A little over a month ago I saw the bakery sign as I drove pass, so one day I checked out the bakery hours and days of business even though they were closed. I noticed the bakery's limited hours and business days for the retail bakery shop. They are currently open from Wednesday through Friday from 10am -6pm in hope to open more days in the future. I drove there last week to find they were not opened for business for retail but may be in for the private catering business and participate in a healthy school lunch program for a near by chartered Elementary school. It's a small family run business. The store front is called One Love Bakery & Cafe selling their desserts and the Private Catering business is called One Love Cafe. The outside sign may just say One Love Bakery since they are selling their bake goods and not food items. They provide & participate in Federal healthy lunch program for a near by Chartered school. Their motto /belief is Fresh, Local & Organic! Finally today Shannon, bakery/owner just turned on the lights of the open sign just before I got there before 5pm. I was so happy to see the open sign on! Her son and daughter was helping her today. I couldn't resist buying just about everything except the banana poi loaf (I got the slice) and the whole mint chocolate cheesecake! I may have to come back for the cheesecake since I do love cheesecake. She was so so nice and friendly and let me sample some of her bake goods. It was so rich and amazing from anything I've tried before. The chocolate PB bar was so yummy especially if you're a peanut butter fan and the Lilikoi brownie and chocolate Lilikoi tartlet were similar in taste but was truly out of this world. Soooo good! Banana Poi bread slice - moist and delicious! Chocolate Mac nut cookies in a bag- Many mini size cookies in a bag. Cookies was a little crispy yet chewy w/ lots of Mac nuts. I'm a fan of crispy and crunchy cookies but these were good enough and there are a lot macadamia nuts! Scones were soft and moist and not dry. The glaze adds a nice touch since the Lilikoi glazed was delicious on the Lilikoi scone. Blueberry one was good but I love the pineapple coconut scone was heavenly and super moist! I liked that scone the best! The pineapple pieces made it moist and flavorful! I think the sugar glazed has something mixed inside. Everything was so delicious and reasonable priced. Please check them out & follow them on Instagram which she updates her information regularly and post photos of her desserts. Right now she is not ready to post a phone number but can contact her through email (from Facebook) or Instagram. Hopefully you will be lucky like me to catch them when they are opened! They are located in the same lot as Pizza Hut near The Shack and across from Enchanted Lakes McDonalds and Ben Franklin. Thanks for reading!
