Delicious hot poi mochi. I went to the poi mochi food truck. The service was quick and it was pretty affordable. A dozen poi mochi for only 10 dollars. Quite delicious. I ordered poi mochi with haupia drizzle because the poi drizzle ran out. It was amazing. Hot, fresh, made to order.

Lucky that it was open. These were so delicious, both flavors are amazing. Looks like they sell out a lot though.

If you get them from one of their trucks, you can pretty much guarantee they're relatively fresh. Going to their store front at KMA was very disappointing. It was empty and took awhile to be greeted by someone. I waited about 5min for her to basically toast/warm up poi mochi that had been sitting out (the outside was warm, inside was cold and you can tell it was not fresh). With the price going up recently also (from $8 to $10) it was more so not worth it.

Went to visit this place today! I haven't been to mall in a while and I wanted to get a bunch of gifts for my small business friends. Asked the front desk worker if she could pack a dozen in 3 different boxes, 4 in each box so I could gift my friends. She looked at us like we were stupid and was so rude about it! Would of even paid extra for extra boxes. I haven't been out much since the pandemic and honestly it just ruined our day. As someone with a local business I was pretty disappointed and won't be back!

Uncle Lani's poi mochi is delicious. Good balance of poi and mochi; not too much mochi and too little poi like others we've tried in and around the 'Ewa/Kapolei area. The options to add drizzle is nice; my favorite is the haupia drizzle. The 3-stars are mainly for the inconsistencies in regards to their business hours! We have come to this specific location which is inside Ka Makana Ali'i and there have been numerous times that they are closed even though according to their business hours posted they should have been open. Mind you they show that they open at Ka Makana Ali'i at 10 daily and are open until they have sold out as well as what they post onto their Instagram account. Well . . . We've been by around 10:30am - closed/sold out sign up and no one inside. We've been by around 12 noon - closed/sold out sign up and the ladies inside making hand motion like they pau already or they don't get any poi mochi available for sale. Point is, we've been by at least a dozen times shortly after opening and have always been greeted with the sold out sign! It would be nice if they could update their hours of business and actually open according to their posted times! There is no way they have sold out within two hours of their posted open time.

Uncle Lani's Poi Mochi is most similar to a Filipino dessert called "Cascaron." Gluten free, sweet, crispy, crunchy, chewy, and delicious, but nothing like a poi donut. A dozen of these dense balls will make you smile, just be sure to let them cool off a bit before you bite in- the center stays molten for a longer time than one might guess! Uncle Lani has been selling fresh poi mochi outside Walmart and other shops for a very long time. They have perfected the speed and friendly service that creates a broad base of repeat customers. Though I've seen that they now have a permanent location in Ka Makana Ali'i, but I've only been to their stands. While I truly appreciate the idea of poi mochi with a drizzle of flavored glaze, I can't imagine adding any extra sweetness to these treats. I believe they are perfect in their naked form, and I only wish I had someone to share them with, as a dozen is eleven more than any one person should eat at one time. This is a wonderful thing to bring to an office potluck, or to any event.

Went here for the first time today at Ka Makana Alii. I never heard of this place but I saw that it was poi mochi donuts so I went inside. My thoughts/reviews: 1). You can only buy it in box of 12. I only wanted to try one so I was disappointed that I had to buy a dozen. They should just charge $1 per donut or something like that. Sometimes people just want to give it a try and its not always for some kind of occasion nor are they sharing with other people. 2).The batter was hard as a rock. The roof of my mouth still hurts from chewing on these because they were so hard. I love Liliha Bakery's mochi donut and theirs is super soft even though its been sitting on display for a while. 3) The haupia drizzle was ono though. 4). I didnt finish the box of 12. Even my husband didnt want more after trying two. We ended up throwing away half the box because it just wasnt worth the calories. Overall, I was Very disappointed. Waste of my money. I dont think I would give this place another try

At Walmart stuck and waiting for a tow truck, asked twice to order while we’re waiting for the truck, we wanted to pickup poi donuts at the Nanakuli farmers market but we forgot! It sucks that they wouldn’t even consider taking our order and refused our business!! She told me twice at two different times 30 minutes apart that it would be 30 minutes before they could take my order ?

So there are different locations, where the trucks station themselves. I've recently been to Kapolei, to enjoy these irresistible local treats at Ka Makana Alii. My sisters and I walk Haiku in the mornings, just so that we can eat Uncle LANI'S poi mochi, afterward, in Kāneohe. Both locations send out consultant, quality poi mochi. They're super friendly, and work fast. Even when you're waiting for a new batch, you're still not waiting long. We always order two boxes; one with haupia drizzle, and the other with poi drizzle. Uncle Lani's Poi Mochi FOREVER!
