808 Toast

The toasted sandwiches hit the spot! A little on the slow side, but the wait was worth it! Thank you so much for this much needed comfort food. I'll be back to try the spicy chicken sandwich. :)

This is one of those occasions when first impressions DO NOT last. First off, it took a while for our sandwiches to be made. I thought, "Does it really take this long to make sandwiches?!". Sorry, I will admit I was a bit hangry due to many hours of black Friday shopping. The other issue I had was how the two sandwiches we ordered were just not appealing to the eyes - both looked as if they lack flavor and should have only took 5 minutes tops to make. Wow. So impressed with my #1 classic sandwich yesterday. Loved the buttery toast, fresh cabbage and savory, slightly sweet mix of ham, egg, corn (yes, there was corn in there) and cheese. It is pricey at just under $6 for the sandwich alone. But it was so good! Wait took about 5 minutes, and there's seating to the side.
