A party of 6. 5 adults and my 2 year old son. We sat down and waitress asked for our drinks. After giving us our drinks, she was gone for more than 10 minutes while we were waiting to get our orders in. Then she came back and told us that she's ready. So we ordered. The last 2 items we ordered was 1 cheesecake and a child's meal of mac & cheese with hash brown for my 2 year old son. We then waited for another 20+ minutes for our order, and first thing she walked out with was cheese sticks! I told her we never ordered a cheese sticks and she said "yes"pointing to my sister. So I told her "she ordered cheesecake". Long story short luckily I ordered extra dish of chicken tenders with fries because my son's food was never served. No mac &cheese and hash brown. My son ate the fries from the tender plate. Not only that my sister never got her cheesecake after she came out with cheese sticks. Then she ordered side order of white rice and was told to wait 20 minutes, they have to cook the rice. When we got the bill, this waitress put the cheese sticks on our bill. I told the cashier I ordered my son's food and was never served. The cheese sticks on the bill was her mistake. We ordered cheesecake but she came out with cheese sticks. She took the sticks back.
What a disgusting example of a Denny’s restaurant! The service was non existent. The waiter kept on yelling at the chef as she couldn’t get any of the orders correct. When we first ordered our meals two of us ordered T-bone steaks. After a long while the waiter came out and said they were out of T-bone but had rump in stock. I changed my meal to a skillet and the other person chose the rump. After another 16 minutes the waiter returned to say they were out of rump but had T-bone. When questioned about the T-bone he said the chef held back 9 T-bones for take out orders just in case but as they hadn’t sold we could have them. Why would you withhold steaks for takeout customers that may or may not order them when you have paying customers sitting in your restaurant? It seemed like they were out of more items than they had available. They blamed living on an island however the Dennys in Honolulu by the zoo was never out of anything the 4 times we visited. ( see other review). When I attempted to change my skillet order back to the original T-bone he said it was to late. All the mains came out before the appetisers as they had forgot to cook them. They ended up coming after the mains were already finished. After all of this of the seven people in our party 3 got food poisoning from their meals which were all different. We should have known something wasn’t right when at 5.17pm the restaurant was empty. Save your money and gut and don’t eat at this Denny’s!
My family of 3 ate breakfast here and the service was so slow. There were not that many people seated when we came in but there was only one waitress and one cook. She was so busy bringing things to the tables that she couldn't even stop to check if we needed anything. Dennys Kunia needs to hire more people and do better!
