This place is a real gem! Well-prepared food with friendly and attentive service. I had the best steak + eggs here that I can remember, with our server asking how I wanted it prepared, seasoned or not, steak sauce and, if so, what kind, etc. Will be back!

Can take quite a long time to get your food, even when fairly slow. If you have young kids that can't sit still, maybe save half an hour and go somewhere else.

my nephews home burnt to the ground this morning. he an his family are safe. we all gathered at this cafe to figure out what to do .they opened their place and their hearts to us completely. they refused to let us pay for brkf and asked to help this young family. god bless you all .thank you

This was a great experience from the second we walked in the door. Great service, Great food at a great price. I had the #3 combo, 2eggs, ham, sausage and bacon with toast. Wow!! My wife had Philly cheesesteak with hash browns all this for $20.00 out the door.

Staff is super friendly always plenty of smiles and seems like the whole staff shouts good morning. The food and coffee are outstanding I would dare say the coffee is the best in the city of Des Moines.

I have been there 3 times and always had good food and great service. I tell them up front that I am a big coffee drinker, and they have done an excellent job keeping my cup full. The servers have all been pleasant. I usually have bacon and eggs but I'm eager to try the biscuits and gravy.

We have a family of four and we sat down right in the middle at a booth like they said to. We waited over 15 mins and no even gave us menus. We had a very hungry 2 year who was very upset. As we got our kids packed up to leave since no one wanted to help us. We saw a couple sit down and the waitress was at there table giving them menus and asking about drinks before the butts hit the seats right across from us.
