The food was amazing. If an Italiann restaurant says spicy meatball or sausage, it should be. Well at Basta it is and it was great. Our service was top notch. Our waitress was attentive without being overly so. She was efficient at removing dishes from our small table. As the restaurant has a small foot print space is a premium. It is cozy without feeling cramp in the right areas. We were sat on the raised section, which for a 250lb 6'2 guy was a little cramp. That is the only reason for the 4 star on atmosphere. If I could give four and a half I would.
Had the fettuccine Alfredo vegetarian style. It took over 20 minutes to get our beverage order inAnother 15 to get them to the tableThe food came quick and was delishWill go again because it is in tje neighborhoodBut service is SLOW

The atmosphere is lovely and the food delish! Great service from the friendly staff.
I had a great time it was great service even during the busy rush after the game!! I had Grace help me get food and was a delight! If I wasn’t married I would’ve heavily considered asking for her number! Amazing service and I would recommend to anyone who likes Italian food!

I keep trying to like it here and after this last experience, I don't think I'll go back. Food is meh. The pasta is overly thick and doughy, no matter what kind you get. Its inedible in my opinion. Doughy noodles. The baked penne I got tonight was disgustingly swimming in cream with a layer of burn mozzarella on top and canned tomato chunks on top. Absolutely unappetizing, I left it mostly untouched. Got some overly dry bread as well, no side plate or butter for it. Also found out they removed most of the gluten free options. However, tonight my party of 3 was placed at a 6 top next to a table of 14 and a table of 8 on the elevated area. We could barely hear ourselves think, let alone try to talk to each other. Many tables were open in the restaurant, not sure why we got placed there. Service was subpar as we were forgotten in the bustle of the large parties. I had to ask for my drink multiple times. I recommend going to the other Italian restaurant in town instead, if you can get a reservation.

Basta has a delightful vintage atmosphere and well maintained interior. The staff is generally quite friendly and attentive. Where they fall somewhat short is the food, which is okay but not great. It is notable that their customer base is primarily older folks, the great appreciators of consistency. You know what you'll get here and it isn't bad.
We had the BEST experience at Basta tonight. Our server, Clayton, was extremely kind & made our experience at Basta perfect. He was very attentive, checking on us often & making sure we were happy. It was my boyfriend’s first time here - and we will most definitely be returning after today. The wine, appetizer, entree & dessert came out so fast! The food was amazing. The tiramisu is the best in the area - HIGHLY recommend!! Also, Grace was such a joy to talk to - she’s so sweet! You can tell that everyone works as a team here. We had the best experience & can’t wait to come back!

Excellent experience every single time I have gone. This was a special occasion, and the service, food and cocktails were nothing less than superb. The specialty cocktails are top notch, especially the Sage Tequila Smash.
Edit: I’ve been here several times since my original review, and unfortunately the food and the experience has never been as good. The thing I like best is the beet salad. $15 seems a bit steep, but it is packed with fresh greens, beets, bleu cheese and pistachios. Seems like the quality of beets changes as well. It is still good enough to eat though. I like the zero proof grapefruit drink is good as well, but priced like alcohol when it’s not. The service is usually okay—it varies. This last time it was really slow though—and they gave us the wrong menus, so when we tried to order, we couldn’t get what we’d decided upon. Our server this last time kept getting tied up helping a group and just brushed it off to us. We waited about 10 minutes for her to come around after being completely finished eating and drinking. Not cool. Overall, still an okay place—but for the being quality of food and service, the price isn’t worth it.We really enjoyed our experience here! We went a little later, so it wasn’t insanely crowded, which was nice. The ambiance was as lovely as the food. Our server was attentive and helpful but also gave us our space. I had the ribeye which was mouth-watering. I think my husband got the filet mignon, but I can’t I remember. I remember that we were very pleased with both of our plates though! We were full, but when we saw the dessert menu, we could not resist the chocolate budino! We were NOT disappointed! Sooo delicate and delicious. I really appreciated that the quality of food and quality of service, as well as the ambiance, seemed to match the prices on the menu. We will definitely come here again! Thank you Basta!

YUM! Food was amazing, my partner and I shared the margarita pizza & it was more than enough for the two of us - we also ordered the Burrata and appetizers so that may have contributed! Only complaint is I had to ask for my drink a couple of times! Would recommend to a friend!

I have been here twice now and had an excellent experience both times. Prices are quite high, but I do find the food and experience to be worth the treat. I have celiac, and they do very well with accommodation. They do have a limited menu for gluten-free, but I found what I have tried to be top tier. My favorite is the gluten-free chicken alfredo. This is also the largest portion of gluten-free I have received from a restaurant. However, this dish was almost $30.00
