Dairy Queen Grill & Chill

Love it. But the line out to the road sucks. Lol

I'm sorry but this is probably the worst dairy Queen I've been to. Time and time again I try giving this particular dairy Queen a shot and it gets worse each time. The place is very dirty and somewhat sad. The people behind the counter do not look happy. In the kitchen everything looks dirty. The service is very poor and it probably takes 10 minutes to get a small ice cream cone. I don't recommend this place. I would rather go to Waukee to get ice cream from a dairy Queen over this one. This place needs work.

Horrible service she didnt give my change back pop machine was broke ice machine was broke and then it took forever to get food . The lady working the register accused the cook of taking money out of the drawer in front of the customer. Very unhappy never be eating at this location again!!! Dont waste your time people very unfreindly enviroment!

Never have I waited more time for a meal before and it was just for a single burger. I show up at 2:18 and it is now 2:53 and I still do not have my burger. I tried asking how long it would be and the lady helping got mad at me. Definitely do not come here.

I swear half the time this place can’t make any actual food because they’re either “out of it” or “the dryers are down”. Kinda ridiculous how it’s a literal gamble on if I’m gonna be able to order any real food. Times for food is also unbelievably long, makes sense why this places reviews are so terrible.

Excellent fast friendly service. The only thing I would mention is that it was VERY cold in the building. This isn't the best time of year for ice cream anyway, but my nieces and nephews LOVE ice cream no matter the time of year, so we stopped in. But ended up leaving before we could finish our treats as it was almost as cold inside as it was outside!! I dont know if theyre trying to cut costs by keeping the heat low or what, but this is not a good idea!

Decent food that you'd expect from dairy Queen with one major caveat. I often come for my lunch break at work, my 30 minute break should be enough, but this place is SLOW. I often spend half of my break wearing for one meal which isn't okay when you're the only ordering customer (yes I even had time to check and observe, there wasn't anyone in the drive through) waste of time, but only place near work to grab food qick.

This location has improved dramatically over the past few years

I visited the Johnston Iowa location. The chesse curds were good and of course my blizzard was great. However my cheeseburger was awful it was very chewy like rubber

This DQ is always busy. They make the best Carmel Pecan Blizzard. Better than any other DQ in Des Moines area.

Today I went here with my family. The service was fine but the food was horrible. I came here at 5:30pm so dinner time. The fries nor the chicken strips were fresh. Both were luke warm. Chicken strips were so dry I filled my drink 2 times. The fries were covered in salt. I could only eat about 5 fries.

What a great place to take your family. Sierra must've known that my family and I had fallen on rough times. She was like an angel. Without her my family of six would never have had the luxury of a burger and shake. Would have given give stars but there was no pay phone.

The shakes and blizzards came out very quickly. The person on the register put our order in wrong and it took 20 minutes to get a burger in am empty restaurant. I would highly suggest drug testing the staff at this location, as the person on the register was clearly not functioning correctly. She also kept threatening to send employees home (we could hear her yelling from the dining area) while also telling people at the drive through that they were understaffed. Will not be spending any more money here.

Was told to wait to place my order in the drive through. After 10 minutes of absolute silence, we decided to go elsewhere. As a note of clarification, they were not busy.
