Great food, we enjoyed a few different dishes and all of them were delicious. Really good service. The place is so beautiful and it has an authentic Mexican decoration. I love it.
Really like the food here! Chili Verde is awesome. Veggies are sautéed and are good too.

EDIT: Stopped for lunch 03-10-24 (4th visit since 2020). My, how it has changed for the worse. Food was bland, but more importantly, our female server needs a serious attitude adjustment. She wasn't attentive, we got better service from the young man bussing tables. What a huge step down and a big disappointment.Stopped in for lunch with four friends 1-14-2020. Absolutely great! Everyone loved their food. Best carne asada in town. Really like their use of square plates, really makes a difference. Definitely will go back!

It's really hard to find authentic Mexican food in Boise, but Barrigas is the most authentic I can find after 10 years of living here. Their food is good, served on warm plates with great portions, the servers are always friendly, and the atmosphere is clean!
Great experience, it's a step up type of Mexican food place. Foid was fantastic.

Worst guacamole that ever tasted plain and tasted like sour cream,I had the chimichurri steak and I had way too much chimichurii on it and service wasn't the best

Underwhelmed with this food. Everything was bland, lacking flavor. Apparently finding good Mexican food restaurants in Boise is impossible.Ignore the stellar reviews. The enchiladas were plain and lacked flavor. The carnitas was similar.The beans are bland and boring.Even the tortilla chips were plain and bland.Service was adequate. Nothing more.

Posted online, they'd be open 12-9 on Super Bowl Sunday. We arrived around 6 for dinner. They were closed. No note on the door, nothing. Another person showed up to pick up an online order that had been placed and paid for, and this restaurant was closed. I also have no idea where you're supposed to park. They have 3 parking spaces in front of the restaurant?

I was seated in the back cause I wanted a table not booth(front). Wait person totally ignored me for quite a while. ??? She kept looking at me, and in my direction. Wait person said she couldn't see me because of a wooden barrier on the back of the seat at the left of my table..Don't know exactly how long I waited, maybe 25 minutes, maybe? Soooo, I called Barrigas from my table. Told them I was sitting in the back by myself and would like to order. Wait person apologized several times when she finally came back to my table. I finally told her, To stop apologizing, it's ok, and it was. Since I live in Caldwell, this will probably be the only time I eat here. Sorry to be truthful. If you live in Boise or Garden City area, try Barrigas Mexican food...not to shabby. ?
