To me, this is the true definition of a four star restaurant. In terms of ambiance, we found the restaurant to be clean and seating plentiful for lunch. Nothing special but quaint! Prices were fair, which is nice to see these days. I ordered the yakisoba noodles with tofu, the aged tofu appetizer, and my partner ordered the beef japchae noodles with no vegetables. My yakisoba was delicious, but definitely needed spice. It had a lot of oil, but I didn't mind. The tofu appetizer was interesting, the covered in it these fried onion skins that were inedible, but the actual tofu was nice. My partner did not like their japchae, they found it lacking in flavor and depth. The highlight for me was the sides they offered, the spicy tofu and kimchi were excellent! Overall, an average experience. Not sure I would go out of my way to come back, but I wouldn't tell people to steer clear either. I believe it's authentic Korean food Boise style, so my expectations were met in the end.

Good authentic food. Service was timely and professional. I had the Galbi bento box and totally worth it while here for a meeting.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in the city. I've come many times and tried most of the food, but the chicken yakisoba and galbi tang are probably my two favorite things. Never had a bad experience. Server has always been super friendly and attentive. Honestly, this place is worth it for the banchan alone, but the atmosphere and the food both always leave me thrilled.

My favourite is Bulgogi tteokbokki and seafood pancake. Need to try other dishes too!

Stellar food with even better service. This is some really great Korean food at a bargain price. I couldn't believe how little they charged and the service was great as well. Don't miss this!

I really wanted to like this place but was a bit disappointed...Let's start with the positive: service was great. Our waitress was very friendly and she always made sure we were taken care of. A couple things that aren't deal breakers but to note... The real reason I wanted to come here is that I was craving kimchi soft tofu soup but I had to order something else. The waitress said they couldn't make it because the kimchi was "new" and explained it wouldn't taste good if they made it with new kimchi. Which I understand, and appreciate the honesty that they want to make the best food possible for their customers. The banchan was just okay, nothing special. Also, note that the atmosphere isn't really great. The restaurant seems pretty old and outdated. Now with the reason why I gave Gangnam a 2 star rating... First of all, this is the first time I never wanted to use the bathroom at a restaurant. When my husband went first, he warned me about a "smell". I figured that someone just went number 2 in the men's restroom. But when I went to the women's restroom, I immediately knew what my husband meant when he said that there was a "smell". The bathroom itself was as clean as possible for an older bathroom but whatever the scent of the freshener or cleaning supply they had made me want to throw up. The lighting was also very dark and ominous. There were 2 stalls and one of them you can't see anything. From there, I decided to wait until I got home to use the bathroom. So then I just decided to wash my hands but bad mistake. The scent of their hand soap smelled old(maybe expired? Is that a thing?) and was very strong. It gave me a headache and I had to wash my hands 3x at home to get rid of the scent.Overall, my husband and I thought the food was pretty decent... until the next day when we both had stomach issues that lasted 2 days.I love to support small business and love Korean food. However, I don't see myself coming here in the future.

Food is okay but service is horrible. Brought the food out and never came back. Bathroom are pretty dirty and smelled like unventilated air/mold

Food was delicious. Service was great and the servers are still following CDC guidelines. They also brought up some delicious complimentary side dishes.

The staff was friendly made great recommendations. It was a good dining experience. Will go back. They serve a little pre dinner snack with small sharing portions. The korean tofu is out of this world!!! We had 2 Bento box dinners one Korean on Japanese both were really good!

Unfortunately, there was nothing really good about this meal, which was surprising because I had been here years ago for a delicious meal. Today, I got takeout to my hotel while in town for work. I got a salmon teriyaki bento box. The “salad” was limp romaine with a side of dressing, no sauce for the tempura or gyoza, and the salmon was incredibly disappointing. Best part was the rice and kimchi. Maybe they were having an off day, but I won’t be going back.

Stopped by here for dinner a few weeks ago and really loved it! It reminded us of some of our favorite Korean spots in LA. Really impressed!

Wow! Gangnam is the most upscale neighborhood in South Korea so when I pulled up to this old run down building in the Boise Hood and they had 1960's popcorn texture on the ceiling I had really low expectations, but my Korean wife was craving some Korean Food on our weeklong road trip through boring food land. They were busy so they were a little slow but the food was as good as anywhere I've had Korean food - including Seoul. Loved the flavors. My only complaint is that typically they have a side dish made of potatoes they serve at most Korean restaurants and here we are in IDAHO and no potato side dish. Haha! If I were traveling through here I'd definitely stop again! Nice staff too!
