Everything is delicious but $11.50 for an individual small tart dessert ( Lola) was shocking . Prices have significantly increased to the point I can't come anymore . I used to also get a big salad with my quiche but now they put both on a small plate which significantly decreased the size of the salad .

Amazing little find. Great couple running the place too. Interesting history as well. The coffee is superb and roasted in Idaho. The cheesecake is fabulous. I'd tell you more but that was enough for a single visit. Will definitely be back and will encourage others. Worth the wait even if the lines out front. And it was.

Best french pastries! I always get croissants (the most perfect buttery/flakey bread), lemon tart, and pistachio rasberry tart as well. The workers were helpful. I suggest coming early they sell out quick

Food that looked as good as it tasted. Tried the quiche Lorraine and the goat cheese vegetarian quiche. Texture, flavor, and appearance were all excellent and left me picking every last piece out of the box they came in. Had a salmon, onion, caper and cucumber sandwich on a plain croissant. Lots more beautiful pastry to try on a future visit. A little on the spendy side. Busy with lots of people and small tables. Friendly and down to earth employees behind the counter. Definitely need to stop by again.

Ummmm.....YUMMM a I know I need my review to be at least 85 characters to post which I don't agree with because some times one or two words on their own say it all.

Delicious. I can see why the place had all of the tables full and a line out the door. Pricey, but you pay for top notch quality. One of the best crossaints I've had.

The best bakery in town! The quality of their pastries and desserts are amazing. The croissants here are flaky, buttery, and delicious. It was my first time having a croque monsieur and it was great! It was a bit too salty for my taste but the coffee helps wash it down. All in all, can't wait to come back to try their other items! Be prepared for a wait during the weekends as it can get busy! I also recommend going earlier in the day so you can catch more of their menu before it sells out.

Good, especially for Boise that lacks any equal to this establishment. Sometimes the flavors are a bit of a miss for me. But all around very solid patisserie. Have to judge them on a plain croissant and there they absolutely win.

Janjou Pâtisserie is a delightful escape into French perfection. The ambiance is a blend of charm and sophistication, making it a visual treat. Now, let’s talk coffee – it’s not just a drink here; it’s an experience. The latte and cappuccino are stellar choices, providing the perfect companionship for dipping their heavenly croissants ?.Speaking of which, if you’re fortunate enough to spot the Pecan All around dessert, consider it a stroke of luck – a creamy, soft masterpiece that reflects pure culinary finesse. It’s a testament to the artistry in their pastries that elevates the entire experience. The hustle and bustle at Janjou Pâtisserie are a testament to its excellence. Despite the crowd, the customer service remains top-notch, ensuring your every need is met. It’s no mystery why this place is always buzzing – a perfect blend of exceptional treats, cozy ambiance, and impeccable service. ?☕✨

You have to go early to get a great selection. They sell out fast. Everything I've tried here was really good and fresh and tastes homemade. A little pricey but worth it. Almost always a line, but it moves pretty fast. There aren't many seats inside, maybe about 8, and only a few outside. My husband really enjoyed the coffee and I love hot they serve tea. In an actually tea kettle if you dine in.

The almond croissant and the hazelnut swirl pastry is perfectly flaky, crispy layers on the outside. $11.50 for the pastry is certainly a splurge. We were disappointed with the available seating with 4 small tables only room for two per table. 3 tables used to lay their paperwork and bills on doesn't help to provide more seating for the customers. The area felt too claustrophobic to enjoy. There are a few tables outside and since one has to wait a long time in an outside line it would be nice to provide some heaters as the business next door does. An elder man scolded us for attempting to enter as only 6 people allowed at one time, although we observed more come through the door after us. Should put that sign on the front door rather than policing everyone .

Always amazing service, pastries are out of this world and the coffee is perfect. Thank you to the entire team of pastry chefs, baristas, and of course Moshit and Chuck!

Good pastries. pricey, but normal for this type of place. The only problem isn't real a problem - the place was packed! I counted over 52 folks at 8:30 on a Saturday. The best tactic I learned is to get there at open so you can sit and enjoy the place for an hour or so. Otherwise, it's a take-out order. I wouldn't change a thing!
