We were there for our Idaho roadtrip in October 2020. Having living in New Zealand for awhile, I had to drop in any shop with the word "Kiwi" on it. Pleasantly surprised, impressed even! I can see that they put in a lot of effort making the pies. There were delicious! The desserts were so good that they missed a picture session. Lovely ambience. Worth your time.Thank you!

"Kiwi" has three distinct meanings: a fruit, a flightless bird, and a New Zealander. I presume the third definition must be applicable to Kiwi Shake and Bake (S&B), a cafe-style restaurant located on the corner of 8th and River Street in Boise's downtown area. [covid - 10/20/2020 visit] - Riding my bike from home to my doctor visits, I kept passing this place, and remembered fondly my New Zealand visit in 2017. Found a place to park my bike and popped in about 2pm. As with all of 2020, the place was mostly empty, but there was a soccer game on the telly, and a few people social distancing, but watching and enjoying.
