Wow! That's all I can say. I've been to El Gallo Giro before, and every time, it has been wonderful. The staff is more than wonderful. Patient, kind, and helpful. The food is great! The decorations make it feel like you're in Mexico. It's very traditional. The floor and the bathrooms are clean. Overall, El Gallo Giro is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Idaho, and it's a family favorite!Vegetarian options: Some members of the family are vegetarian, and they have a variety of foods to choose from.

What superb food and terrific service! This place is mostly frequented by local Hispanics. It is owned by a couple originally from Michocan, and they are at the restaurant most of the time. We always ask for whole beans, and they are delicious! I rated the atmosphere a "5" because, although simple, it is warm friendly and clean. We have eaten here a number of times, and the food/service are consistently excellent.

Way over priced for the amount you get. My stuffed avocado was a tablespoon of crab into the shell. The salad I received was nothing. A small amt of meat and one little slice of tomato. The cheese, next to nothing. Horrible service and food. Will never go back. I will do the drive to go to Enrique’s. Since I am from kuna.

Very disappointing. They must have raised their prices to keep up with losing business to Garabaldis down the road. Prices went up nearly 50% and weren’t updated on their online menu. Found out when I went to pick up my to go order. Talk about false advertising. It’d be one thing if the food was really good, but def not worth $16 for bland, dry street tacos. Will not be returning here again. I’ll drive a block down the road to Garabaldis to get GOOD Mexican food for the same price.

For all the credit card crybabies: I own a small business. I also charge 3% to run a credit card. The wealthy banks get that 3% cut, not the merchant….a crazy redistribution of wealth for every transaction that is made. It’s good for the cardholders to feel the pain of swiping their card. If you are in such bad financial shape that you need to finance your taco and margarita dinner, then you shouldn’t be eating out anyhow. Support local small businesses by paying cash.
It was pretty busy when we went, about 6 pm, which is understandable. Because it is a small.spacr with a lot of people, it was so loud that my husband and i were nearly yelling at each other across a small table. It took a while for someone to come to us and ask about drinks, and even longer to ask for our order. After we ordered, we waited about 40 minutes before getting our food, which was mediocre, at best. I feel bad saying it, but it's true.We both left food on our plate even though we were still hungry. I got the Gordo Burrito, and he got Pollo a la Crema. The tortilla of my burrito tasted and felt like cardboard, and the meat was flavorless. My husband said his food tasted only like Broccoli and nothing else, which is odd considering there's not usually Broccoli in that dish.It was our first time visiting, and will unfortunately be our last. I always try to leave kind and.himest reviews, so I am sorry to say that we did not enjoy our experience. Hopefully, it was just one of those days for them!
