For us, this is the best Mexican restaurant in the Magic Valley. Great service - quick and very friendly. Plenty of tables, so you’re not right on top of other patrons. It seems like they’re always hosting a birthday or anniversary party, which tells me they’re family favorites in this area. Their Mexican food is the most similar to what we enjoyed in California.Vegetarian options: They cook to order, so most dishes can be made vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: We dined with a friend with a dietary restriction and the server was happy to point out which dishes would work for him.Kid-friendliness: Always lots of kids in here. They cook to order and will modify most items to make them kid friendly. And, it’s a homey place and kid noise isn’t offensive.

My wife and I go to "The Hat" a couple times a month for special occasions. We absolutely LOVE it! The chips and salsa are outstanding and plentiful. We have tried several different menu items and have never been disappointed. The staff that works there are always upbeat and friendly. I love the atmosphere and the place is always clean and orderly. We will continue patronizing this gem in Jerome.
