Got 2 breakfast gyros and they were absolutely delicious. Pulled in at 10:45am this morning early and I said verbally dang they’re closed (they open at 11). And a very kind individual over the speaker said “hi what can I get started for you!” Although they were technically still closed. I Got my two gyros in like 4 minutes and these things were hardy and nutritious. I am a athlete at Cofi and this place is pretty dang reliable and affordable way to get a nutrient dense meal. Always fills me up after intense morning work outs. Super underrated the breakfast. I know alot of drive in places are always hit n miss but this place is pretty consistent. Sadly they closed a location near me. I wasnt going to comment any of this because its not really my type of thing to do I just buy food and that that. However, I’ve been seeing a bunch of critical @$$ holes in the comments saying how the food is not Mediterranean and not fit to their standard. Like these critics are the type that go into a red lobster expecting Gordan Ramsey to serve them up a 5 star meal and then complain about the lobster not being cut in their ideal way lol. The food here is zesty, meaty, fresh and delicious. If you go in for the colosal gyro I always get served a hot gyro with hot meat, mild tiziki sauce, avacdo slices whilst all kindly compacted and tucked around a hot omlet and warm pitta bread. This place goes HARD! has treated me well, hope it treats you well also!

Husband & I have had the Original pita with side salad on several different visits. The food is constantly fresh & tasty... a good value in both food quality and quantity. We will definately return again.

I had to ask the kid at the counter three different times what cooking oil they used. I have to make sure because of my nut allergy. The first time, he just said he didn’t know. The second time they checked and he comes back and says “it said pure cooking oil or something like that.” Finally the third time they brought it out and it clearly said soybean. I don’t know why that was so hard.

The gyro was pretty good and the fries were great. The prices are kind of on the high side. We paid a little more for two people here than we normally do at a local steak house.

All I tasted was salt. The fries were pretty good but I has been craving a gyro for a couple weeks and this was certainly NOT what I craved. Yuck!

The food itself isn't awful. Its actually pretty decent, but they kept getting my order wrong. We got food we didn't order and I had to keep correcting him on my order over and over. And there was still missing items at the end of it all. Not worth the money or frustration.UPDATE: I got food poisoning ?

Food was decent. I love Mediterranean food so that was an easy sell. The service was why I gave it 3 it of 5 stars. The people working there all seemed disinterested like they would rather be somewhere else. Also there was a problem with the drink machine and none of the 3 girls working would even come out to look at it after I told them about it.

Great food! It's been a while since I've been to a gyro shack and quickly realized why. It is super expensive. I got one of the cheapest ones too, $3 EXTRA to add a drink and fries (or pita) it was a bit steep. Food was excellent though

The food is good! I love that they give you free mints with your purchase (you’ll need them with gyros). The staff was kind and helpful. The inside isn’t super inviting, but they have a drive thru.

Entire Restaurant is sticky, even the parts nowhere near the soda machine. Music is way too loud, so don't plan on staying for long. Delivery orders often are delayed or randomly canceled, despite Gyro Shack advertising partnership with GrubHub. It's a shame, Gyro Shack used to be much better.
Update... went and got lunch today and it was perfect... all except no dressing on the salad. Overall, much better... the rest was great. Thanks Abagayle!

Asked for well done fries. Was told they were, but they were not. Had to go back through drive through. My gyro also was not hot or even warm. Pita seemed to not have been warned. #annoyed

Was looking forward to gyro shack last night, but I got there at 6, and the lights were off and nobody took our order in the drive through. So either lazy night staff or inaccurate hours posted.Edit: got sent coupons, and came this time 15 minutes after opening (compared to an hour before closed the first time.)Likely won’t be using the coupons at this location because again, the staff simply does not attempt to perform their job. At this point, it’s likely bad management. No other reason someone who continually performs like this should have a job.

Went through the drivethru today, Sunday, at 11:30. Posted hours showed they were open. Waited at the speaker for 5mins, saw a guy in a black hoodie leaning against the drivethru window. Drove up to the window and he ran and hid. Thought I would give it a half hour and came back at noon. Saw 3 cars parked on the side next to the building. Open sign still hadn't been turned on and no note anywhere saying why they were closed. Guess this place is never open anymore. Sad. The food was really good.

Hit the front door @ noon and it was locked. No sign of life. Went to Costa Vida for lunch instead.Sat down and ate my delicious mexican and looked out of Costa Vida window - Gyro Shack drive thru was open.I guess G.S. business does so well it doesn't have to bother putting up a sign that says DRIVE THRU OPEN and LOBBY CLOSED. That's okay, I want to sit down and eat anyways (and not in my truck).
