The only thing stopping me from giving the food 5 stars is the loaded hash browns which were pretty bad. But the pancakes were great. The waitress, however, earned those 3 stars by continuing to interrupt us mid conversation. Then once we were ready for the check she was nowhere to be found. The atmosphere is alright. Kinda reminds me of a 50's or 60's diner. Overall I highly recommend eating here. Its well worth it and reasonably priced.
Delicious Sunday breakfast. Highly recommend to check out this place. Servers are friendly and nice and food is super delicious. We also got the French toast and it was yummy!
Good foods found in this diner at the Idaho State University. We ordered the chicken egg Benedict and the NW combo crepe found on their first page menu. Egg Benedict cooked perfectly and the crepe tasted great. We like the hash brown side the most though. A comfortable dinning place with friendly setting and friendly staffs.
Passing through for work and stopped at Elmer's for the first time. It was SO good! The omelet and hash browns were full of flavor and then I had a pancake to top it off. The only hard part was deciding what I wanted to eat. My server, Melissa, took great care of me and kept my drink refilled without my asking. Great experience and I'll definitely be back!
This was my first time trying Elmer's and I was excited because I'd heard such good things. My Husband and I went for breakfast and we were seated right away which was nice. The interior was clean and wasn't too loud which I appreciated. There was a large assortment of breakfast options but I chose the eggs Benedict and my Husband went for the German Pancake and -Wow. The Pancake is definitely something I'd recommend. It was huge! Delicious, light, and yummy with the lemon juice and powdered sugar! The hollandaise sauce on the Benedict was very good but the potatoes were a bit greasy and flavorless. All in all it was a great experience, the service was very attentive, and the food was good!
stopped here on the way to Yellowstone late last week. I had the reuben and fries for lunch and my wife and the lighter fish and chips (2 fish instead of 3). Both were very good and we would definitely eat there again.
Cinnamon roll pancakes were the greatest Found this place while on a road trip and were very pleased. Didn't hurt our bellies
Driving through Pocatello on our way to Wyoming we found this restaurant on Yelp 6 minutes off the freeway. Normally we wouldn't go that far towing our boat, but we didn't want fast food and we were craving a good breakfast. We almost didn't go in because the parking lot was so full at 10:45am on Saturday morning. Earl greeted us at the door, seating us immediately. Our waitress was there immediately with waters and to take our drink orders. Only a few minutes later she was back to take our food order. We ordered the Crispy Chicken Benedict and the German Pancakes. It took a bit to get our food, but when it came we were so pleased! The food was so good! The chicken was crispy and tender, the eggs were cooked to perfection and the hollandaise was yummy. We chose the fruit over the hash browns. We got pineapple, red grapes and bananas and each piece of fruit was perfectly ripened and sweet. The German pancakes came with eggs cooked to order and we chose the most delicious sausage links as our meat. The pancakes had a mild sweet vanilla flavor smothered in butter and we chose the lingonberry butter to top it with. So good! This was one of the best breakfasts we've had in awhile! Don't miss Elmers!
We really loved this tasty diner and enjoyed the atmosphere and excellent customer service. I can't wait to go back for breakfast! Great location for ISU students.
Wide selection of American favorites. Friendly staff and customers. I asked if I might photograph some patrons (I’m a professional). We had a great time getting to know one another.
Great food great service! Had an Mr. Elmer omelet with fruit. The fruit was very fresh and the omelet was was delicious.
This place was absolutely amazing. It came very highly recommended by the motel staff. You can have breakfast lunch or dinner all day long. The food was excellently prepared and very nice sized portions. I will definitely come again when I’m in the area.
We were traveling, but chose Elmer's based on reviews - and oh so happy we did so. Clearly a place favored by the locals (it's not along the I-15 hotel strip) and for good reason. First, our waitress Agnes was a true charmer - honest on coaching our selections, and attentive and engaging throughout the meal. y choice of Prime Rib was perfectly cooked to order - a fine cut that was larger than stated on the menu. The shockingly superb side veggies of zucchini & summer squash were astounding - apparently they grill them in garlic butter and man-oh-man were they heavenly! The wife is a s***** for cinnamon rolls, so her dinner order of cinnamon roll pancakes was a natural. Four GIGANTIC pancakes swirled w cinnamon, drizzled in glaze and heaped w whipped cream - no human could possibly finish the volume, despite the wonderful taste explosion! She finished ONE pancake and we both breakfasted the next morning on re-heat and still didn't finish the order!! Skip the routine eateries along the Interstate corridor and venture into Pocatello proper for the best meal you'll have in Pocatello - breakfast, lunch or dinner. The locals are never wrong, and this traveler joins that endorsement whole-heartedly.
While traveling across the country, my wife and I stopped at Elmer's for lunch. Our server was friendly and very attentive. We both enjoyed our meals which came to table fresh and hot. The portions were huge and we left feeling stuffed and contented after enjoying a wonderful meal. Highly recommend!
