Gotta get the Cioppino here. My dad is a true Italian and very picky on what he eats. Dad said this place made it just like they do in Italy! ‍

Checked this place out tonight and had a solid vibe. Staff was super nice and on their game. They do live music sometimes. Our server was a pro and chill. The ribeye was some good steak. Felt the price point was on the high side ($44). Taste was there though. Had a good beer and wife loved the wine they have there. Goat cheese appetizer thing was amazing. Worth a stop by.

Always a fun place to sit in the patio and enjoy a good lunch with good food and drink

Service was good. I also liked the atmosphere. The burgers we had were just ok. Maybe we will try a different dish next time...

Went for dinner here with my wife and we were impressed. Very friendly service and a menu that had a unique variety of items. We had the salmon and the meatloaf and they were excellent! Cozy atmosphere and right downtown. Lots of street parking all around.

First time we are visiting Sandpoint and Baxter's. Great decor, homey atmosphere. Quick service, clean restrooms, and interesting menu with something for everyone, burgers, lobster roll ,portobello sandwich, etc. Delicious coleslaw and lobster roll. Portobello sandwich was excellent. Highly recommend Baxter's.

I tried coming in the past and the snooty host scoffed at us for trying to come on a weekend without a reservation. I am coming back to town and I thought I should get a reservation this time. I've tried calling the restaurant 6 times and finally on the third day of trying to get a reservation a completely rude host picked up and wouldn't take a reservation. Horrible customer service.

Stopped in for a late lunch / early dinner. I had the Lobster chowder which was a house recipe and worth trying if you are a lobster chowder fan. The korean pork salad also a unique combination - loved the homemade kimchi and the pork/sauce was tender and flavorful.

OMG fantastic food! We were in town 4 yrs ago and it was fabulous then and it's still fabulous! It is so good we ended up eating here twice. First night we split the lobster chowder. My companion had the ribeye which was perfectly cooked and delicious. I had the shrimp/andouille sausage étouffée. It was absolutely out of this world! The étouffée sauce was to die for! Second night I had the grilled halibut with peach salsa served with asparagus and my companion had the bacon-blue burger. Both entrees were delightful! We finished each meal with the chocolate pot de crème as it hit the spot perfectly. Amazing, fabulous, way above average food. In addition to that the service is impeccable!

I don’t quite understand the hype around this place. I am perfectly fine having to wait for a table, but this place doesn’t write down names or numbers or anything. My husband and I tried to eat there one evening and we were rudely pushed outside and waited for 10 minutes but had no idea if they even knew we were there waiting for a table. When other parties who arrived after us were being seated, we just decided to leave and look elsewhere. After being treated like that, I have no idea why I wanted to try again, but based on the reviews, it looked like it was worth trying. Very disappointed in the limited menu selection. My fettuccine Alfredo was bland, watery and was lacking flavour. As an experienced Alfredo maker, it’s pretty clear the sauce was not cooked long enough. I did like the shrimp on the side and our food arrived quickly. But, there are far better places to eat and support in this town.

The meat loaf and mashed potatoes were delicious. Keli was a very friendly and attentive waitress. She recommended the meal and it was a great comfort food after a long drive. The portions are huge. The appetizer was very well done.I strongly recommend Baxters

Delicious food, great service - thanks Hailie. The Main Lobster roll is awesome. And I've always thought the ones from New England couldn't be beat. I was wrong!

Absolutely amazing! The Caesar dressing is made in house and is the best I’ve ever had! The honey mustard and french fries are also great. I am from out of town, but I will come back here each time I am in town!

No pictures of this from me unfortunately. Fast service, good food. The waitress was very efficient and the place did run like clockwork. My wife got the crab cakes which were amazing! They were a little pricey, but really great.I got the special which was a tri tip steak in sauce on mashed potatoes. Tasted like a good home cooked meal, so it was nice. Not quite what I expected or hoped for.We finished with a creme bruleee which had a nice custard but it definitely was not amazing. An overall enjoyable meal, though we felt it was pricey for what we got.

Baxter's is a great place to eat in Sandpoint. We ate outside and didn't see much of the inside. From what little I saw, it is fairly standard, but upscale bar and restaurant. The hostess and our servers were all friendly and helpful. Prices are on the high end for Sandpoint, but not too outrageous. I ordered the fettuccini alfredo. It was one of the better ones I have had. It came with asparagus and a small piece of bread. If you're looking to splurge a bit in Sandpoint, Baxter's is a great option.
