Excellent original dishes. I ordered an appetizer and steak. Took one star off of food rating because it came well when I asked for medium rare. But they were quick to correct it and it was very good. I was dining by myself, and I asked to be by the window. The place was clean and organized. The bathroom was also clean. My beer had a good head and was a good temperature. Overall, I enjoyed my solo dinner.

I was really excited when I asked my husband to bring me food from this restaurant. I asked him for a “Harvest Pear and Brie Cheese Bruschetta” and “Cajun Chicken Rice Bowl”. I was really disappointed when he brought the food home. Bruschetta slices were not even a half inch thick. Taste was good but not worth the money. Chicken rice bowl was the biggest disappointment. Chicken was shredded, wet and plain. I couldn’t taste any seasoning. Barely any sauce on the dish. For those two dishes and steak that my husband ate at the restaurant, he paid over $130. My husband said his home cooked stake is better than the one he ate in this restaurant (and he is not a fancy steak eater). Not worth the money.

My friends and I went here for prom night dinner last year and it was amazing. The atmosphere was comfortable and the staff were understanding and helpful, and super friendly to us. The food was great, and I can't wait to go back.Parking: There's not a ton of parking downtown. We circled the block a few times to find an open spot, and got lucky that it was right in front of the restaurant.

Our 3rd visit to Baxter’s and love this place. This time the staff went particularly beyond. We called ahead to see what the wait was for us and our toddler and although they were busy held a table for us for a few mins and even had a high chair already at the table when we arrived. Staff, food, and drinks have always been great and we certainly will be back! Special note that the lobster roll is amazing (even by east coast standards) ?

Walked in and immediately was hit with a poorly sanitized bathroom smell, think broccoli-esque. The menu was overpriced for such an awful atmosphere. If I'm paying over $30 for a steak then the restaurant better be serving $30 steak vibes. This was not it. Left when the waitress poured my can of coke over ice without asking. Was told that the water pipes had burst next door causing the broccoli sewer smell knowing that shall return with zero bias and a hungry tummy soon!
Shrimp Etoufee was incredible. My son’s burger was delicious. Wife’s soup was good but not great. Beer was super cold. Highly

This place smelled of sewage and dirty diapers. Obviously something is going on with the septic system. We decided to stay and try it against our best judgement. My burger was super dry and hard to eat. Subpar French fries. The meatloaf was well-received and liked by our group. Slightly overpriced for the ambiance. Our group thought this was a nicer restaurant than it really is- very casual. Like tank top and flip flops casual. The napkins are towels (see pic). No need to return to this place as it stinks and is nothing special.
