I’m leaving this review as a response to the Connie cafe of there response to my significant other guy Seymour’s review, it is not letting him respond back. We will not consider taking his review down because we do not have you guys confused with some other place. We were staying across the street at the cedar street hotel and walked to the Connie cafe. We walked in the restraunt the server had looked at us and kinda just smiled.. we stood there for about 5 minutes and he just kept looking at us. We then decided to go sit down, after sitting down for awhile we then went and found a menu, the servers looked and walked past us several times. We started to think it was something to do with our race. We heard the servers check on other people who had already had there meals several times, asking if they wanted refills on there drinks etc, it seemed as if they only cared about the alcohol beverages that were being handed out. We left after 40 minutes of waiting while the servers just looked at us, I had tried to get a servers attention and she just looked at me and walked away. We left and walked across the street back to our room very disappointed because we were really looking forward to the food items that you guys had on your menu.

My fiancee and I ordered separate plates. Hers were the sadly overpriced nachos which were only microwaved.Within just a few hours, she was puking her guts out, and did so for 36 hours. The dish was so oily and badly cooked, she was able to flip the whole contents of the plate over with one less than limp nacho.

Very poor service, went in and no one acknowledged me when I stepped in the door, I sat down for a bit then had to go find myself a menu, I then waited another 30 minutes workers just kept walking past us, by then they should have brought water or something. I would understand if they were busy which they weren’t. Upsetting that not one person acknowledged us after 40 minutes.

We enjoy listening to live music like The Karen Atkins Trio in the lounge or on the back deck. BTP and Matt Lome are great musicians we've seen there too. They have great burgers, fish and chips, and a large breakfast menu.

Connie’s used to be our go to in years past, we tried it again and was disappointed. Atmosphere was sad, it was very slow and not many people. The waitress acted as though we were an inconvenience and was not friendly at all. Food was fast, but mediocre. Burger was blan, salad was stale and pecans were old and stale the soda tasted like bleach. After meal we waited for 15 minutes to get our bill, waitress was caught up in chatting with someone. Sad to say we won’t be back, irony is the sign on the door that totally contradicts our experience there.
