My family and friends are in town for a hockey tournament and stopped by for a drink in between games and let the kids hang out. The parents were at one table and the kids were at the table next to us. The assistant manager Matthew Viatli came up to our table and very angrily told us to have our kids sit at our table because it's a "law" (it's not a law) that they can't sit by themselves. It might be a policy but it's not a law. So they moved with us. A little while later he came back and accused our kids that were playing shuffle board of "breaking it and throwing the pucks at each other" and told us again to "deal with our unsupervised kids who are destroying the restaurant". There was another family there also playing with their kids and we asked them if our kids were doing anything wrong and they said that the kids were great and very respectful and they didn't even know they were there. For some reason he didn't want us there from the get go and chose to lie about our kids who were doing nothing wrong and made stuff up. The supposed piece of table that was broken, was already broke before (he said he he's already repaired it once and they broke it again). I've included pictures to show the "broken" piece that has no screws in it so it was already broken. We had just come from the Pump House, which was an awesome experience. Our server was awesome and had actually complimented our kids and said she has been in the industry for 40 years and had never seen kids as well behaved as ours.Kid-friendliness: Apparently there is ZERO kid friendliness at this establishment as the assistant manager looked for anything and even lied about our kids that did absolutely nothing wrong. If you don’t want an ignorant manager screaming at you about your kids that are just sitting there playing with the games they provide and the 100 year old shuffle board table they have, don’t come here

My husband and I spent a day in Alton and this was one of the places we stopped. The building itself is huge. There is a lot of seating and it is an open space. They have a good size beer selection and they offer cans to go. This was nice since most microbreweries don't have cans to go. My husband and I just went for the drinks so we didn't get food even though they offer some. When we are back in Alton just hanging out we will be back!

Just had to share my review of The Gunther burrito. THIS is what great vegan food should taste like! Awesome ingredients. Burrito with chickpea curry, rice, spinach and mint cucumber sauce. So warm and comfy on a cold winter's day. Paired with fries and my all time favorite Citrus Wheat beer. Thanks for supporting people with plant-based diets. There are always plenty of choices on the menu and great beer!

Food is okay, menu changes often. Beer choices are great and self serving. Order at bar, not fancy for Ambiance. They change burger specials every Wednesday

First very small parking lot second no service whatsoever and when we did get service, they were very rude. Cared more about drinking with all the employees at the end of the bar. Very unprofessional will never be back there again. It ain't worth the drive.

Always lovely service. Lovely people. Beautiful and unique atmosphere. Burger cooked to a perfect medium! Caesar dressing wasn't my favorite but I'm picky. I also had a margarita that I forgot to picture, but it was delicious.

Old Bakery ued to be the best brewery around. Went in there this weekend and was disappointed. The beer and food was so-so. And the service was terrible. Sorry to see what has happened. What doo I do with the hat now?

Tasty food and beers with weekly specials. Along with games and friendly staff, the atmosphere is unique and historic. Worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for a good time!

Spacious, casual space with counter service. Pretty good food options, and the food was fresh and fast.

Friends had been here before and invited us to go check it out with them. We went on a Sunday afternoon and there weren't many people there. It's a little drive from where we live, but it's mostly highway and time passes quickly. It's a cool looking place! There are plenty of tables in the dining area. There is a place to sit outside, but it was too cold the day we were there. Food and drinks are ordered at the bar and the food is delivered to the table. I forgot to take pics of food and drinks - we were hungry and thirsty! I had the Bob Barker sandwich with fries and I had a couple of the Sour Coop cocktails. The sandwich was okay but needed a little something more. The fries and the cocktails were really good. I can't remember what everyone else got, but they were all happy with their choices! I've included pics - just not of our food!
